Indian Navy aircraft TU-142M in Visakhapatnam, that has been turned out into a museum attracts visitors, as part of the ongoing summer vacation. The structure is located opposite to the famous Submarine museum at RK Beach road in Visakhapatnam. About 1600 to 1800 visitor footfalls on weekdays and 3000 to 3200 on weekends are marked by the museum authorities. The aircraft has served the nation for the past 29 years and was decommissioned back in 2017. India becomes second global mobile manufacturer

Green Bus manufacturing plant in Andhra

As part of the green protocol initiative, Andhra Pradesh government, in association with Ashok Leyland is all about to construct green bus manufacturing plant in the state. The 75-acre plant site is located at Model Industrial Park, Mallavalli village in Krishna district. The factory focus on high-quality building standards, that ensures to produce around 4800 buses per year. Chinese boats ferry tourists to Bhavani Island

Chinese-made air-conditioned hi-tech boats will ferry tourists from Durga Ghat to Punnami Ghat and Bhavani Island in Andhra Pradesh’s Amaravati soon. The AP Tourism Development Corporation has imported the 36-passenger capacity boat by spending Rs 1.19 crore. All the seats have a life jacket facility and foolproof security has been provided inside the boat as per the guidelines of international navigation. Norwegian international architecture company ‘Snohetta’ is about to launch, so-called world’s first energy-positive hotel at Artic Circle in around 2021. The main motto behind the architecture is to produce more renewable energy than it produce. Take a ride at the world’s longest sea cable car

Sea cable car located at Phu Quoc Island District is said to be the world’s longest cable car route at southern province of Kien Giang in Vietnam. The cable car route is about 8.9 kilometres long connecting An Thoi Town and Hon Thom Island. The car would take around 15 minutes to connect from one end to other, with a max speed of 8.5 metre per second. The connecting system has 3 cable ropes capable of carrying 30 passengers each. Tourist footfall in Odisha up by 38 per cent

The tourist inflow to Odisha in 2017-18 (till January) has increased by around 38 per cent as compared to the corresponding period of 2016-17 . Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda, said that as many as 86,162 tourists from abroad visited Odisha in 2017-18 (till January) compared to 62,539 arrivals in 2016-17 in the corresponding period last year, registering 37.77 per cent growth over the previous fiscal. The tourist footfall of 2016-17 was 17.70 per cent more as compared to the corresponding period of 2015-16 where 53,133 foreign tourists had visited the state. The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has replaced several waterbuses by air-conditioned abras in Dubai Marina. The new abras are more convenient to riders and have better operational efficiency. Clean fuel from national capital

With a vision to curb air pollution and associated health hazards, oil companies have decided to supply clean Euro-4 grade diesel and petrol from 1st April in Delhi. Meanwhile, the move is as part of Supreme Court’s strict order to introduce BS-4 fuels all along the national capital. McDonald’s trying to ban plastic straws from UK restaurants

McDonald’s has decided to ban plastic straws in UK restaurants as a means to cut down on waste. McDonald’s UK announced that a small chunk of its 1,300 locations in Britain will be switching over to biodegradable paper straws in May, as part of a trial run. IRCTC to launch own digital payment gateway ‘ipay’

IRCTC is planing to launch its own digital payment gateway, which is being initially called ‘ipay’. The new payment gateway, which will be rolled out in phases after testing, is expected to be ready over the next 4-8 weeks. At present, Razorpay, Mobikwik and Paytm lead IRCTC’s railway ticket booking transactions through their gateways. The companies have to pay “a one-time licensing fee to integrate with IRCTC’s website and mobile app and in return share revenues with IRCTC on every transaction that goes through them. The licensing fee ranges from Rs 75 lakh to Rs 1 crore. Saudi Arabia won’t retain passports of Indian crew on arrival

The government of Saudi Arabia has decided not to retain the passports of the Indian airline crew members on arrival in the country and issue a bar code instead. The move comes as a big relief to the crew of Air India and Jet Airways, the two Indian airlines which fly to Saudi.
