Fully automated self bag drop system at Bengaluru airport
You don’t have to wait for long to check-in your baggage at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, anymore. The whole process of baggage check-in will take only 45 seconds from now on as the airport has deployed fully-automated self bag drop machines at the airport. The self bag drop machines will accelerate the baggage transaction and reduce check-in queues. China International Travel Mart kick-starts in Shanghai
China International Travel Mart (CITM) 2018 has kick-started at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, with 2,245 booths from 107 countries and regions participating in the event. The mart will be open to public on November 18, 2018, on the concluding day, via online reservations. Hockey World Cup: 3D murals adorn walls of Bhubaneswar city
As part of the beatification programmes of the capital city on the occasion of the Men’s Hockey World cup, a team of four international artists were assigned by the authorities for painting 3D murals on five walls Bhubaneswar. Tracy Lee Stum from Southern California and her team members Julio, G Dler and Ana Ronen painted murals in five different areas of the city. EME of the Indian Army on way to Guinness World Record
Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers of the Indian Army has undertaken a unique Ultra Cycling Expedition as part of its Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The Expedition was flagged off on 15 Aug 2018 from Secunderabad and will cover a distance of 25,000 kilometres across the country passing through all states, attempting at creating the Guinness World Record of most extended distance cycling through the country. Kuwait International Airport temporarily suspends air traffic

Ban on night stay at Corbett Tiger Reserve affects tourism
Tourists visit in the Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) has declined to more than half after the high court order banning night stay at the forest rest houses and restricted movement of vehicles in the reserve area. Two-month trekking ban every year in Tamil Nadu
The state government of Tamil Nadu has banned trekking between February 15 and April 15 every year in the aftermath of the Kurangini forest fire, which killed almost twenty tourists earlier in March this year. The rules have been notified based on an expert committee report on the Kurangini fire. According to ‘Spatial and temporal analysis of decadal forest fire data (2006-2015)’ released by the Tamil Nadu Forest department, forest fires start in January, increase in February and reach its highest point during March.
