Banaswadi-Hosur train service to resume from December 17
It was in March 2018 that the Banaswadi-Hosur train services were started much to the relief of IT professionals and other employees travelling to and fro on the stretch. But, the services were suspended after a month, in May, for track renewal work. To the relief of the passengers, the twitter account of DRM Bengaluru stated that the Banaswadi-Hosur suburban train will restart its services from December 17. “TRNO-06571-06572-06573-06574 BAND-HSRA-BAND DEMU has permitted to resume the services with effect from 17.12.2018,” read the tweet. Jamaican farmers earn USD 39 million via Tourism Ministry’s ALEX
Tourism minister inaugurates the ALEX center Local farmers of Jamaica has earned around USD 39 million from the Agri-Linkages Exchange (ALEX) pilot project of the Tourism Ministry. The project has assisted 400 local farmers with the marketing of approximately 360,000 kg of agricultural products. ALEX, which is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Tourism and the Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA), is the first online platform of its kind in the country. St Mary’s Island to be developed as national hub for cliff diving
The St Mary’s Island is all set to be developed as a national hub for cliff diving. In view of this the Udupi district administration, in association with Malpe Development Committee and Mantra Tourism Development Company, has recently conducted a one-day cliff jump training session at the island on December 13. Plans are afoot to introduce training sessions for the next three months. The authorities are also planning to host a cliff jumping fest in April 2019. United Airlines has introduced a daily nonstop seasonal service between Indira Gandhi International Airport and its hub at San Francisco International Airport starting December 7, 2019 – subject to government approval.
