Vistara adds 62 new flights to and from Mumbai & Delhi

Vistara has announced a significant network expansion with the addition of 62 new flights to and from Mumbai and Delhi. India makes e-visas available to Saudi nationals; Kerala pin hopes on Saudi tourist inflow

Photo Courtesy: CNN In an effort to ease travel and increase the number of Saudi visitors to the country, the Indian government has made e-visas available for Saudi nationals. All applicants will need are valid identification documents, like passports, and a debit or credit card with which to pay the e-visa fee. E-visa application confirmations will be filed within a 24-hour period of submission, approval granted within 72 hours, and the visa will be valid for one year. Kargil to have full-fledged airport for commercial flights

The Jammu & Kashmir government has said that the Kargil Airport will be developed into a full-fledged airport for commercial flight operations. BVR Subrahmanyam, Chief Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir government held a meeting in New Delhi with Union Secretary, Civil Aviation and other Airport Authority of India (AAI) officials including Member Planning, AAI for development of existing Kargil Airport for full operation of commercial flights including Boeing, Airbus, etc. The MoU with AAI is expected to be signed by July, 15. Indian Airports to go plastic-free soon

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) who manages 125 airports in the country, has made 35 of its airports single-use plastic free while 20 more will soon follow the suit. The state-run airport operator has declared Indore, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Tirupati, Trichy, Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai, Patna, Coimbatore, Ranchi, Trivandrum, Goa, Lucknow, Vijayawada, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Vadodara, Madurai, Raipur, Vizag, Pune, Udaipur, Srinagar, Imphal, Jammu, Mangalore, Amritsar, Port Blair, Guwahati, Bagdogra, Agartala, Calicut and Jaipur, single-use plastic-free terminals. “On the basis of a third-party assessment carried out by Quality Council of India, 35 airport terminals have been declared as single-use plastic-free,” an ... ADTOI Convention to be held in Ahmedabad from Aug 16-18

The Association of Domestic Tour Operators (ADTOI), along with the Govt. of Gujarat is set to organise its next convention in Ahmedabad, Gujarat from August 16-18, 2019. The information was announced PP Khanna, President, ADTOI at their General House Meeting and GST session held at Hotel Samrat in New Delhi. IndiGo to start 12 ATR flights on Buddhist circuit from 8 Aug

IndiGo is planning to introduce 12 ATR flights on the Buddhist circuit, which would include daily non-stop ATR flights between Kolkata, Gaya and Varanasi. Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo has partially reopened on June 12, seven weeks after the property was attacked by a suicide bomber on Easter Sunday.
