Araku forests will soon be open for tourists at night

The Andhra Pradesh Tourism department is planning to introduce night vihar, a unique tourism package that will allow tourits to trek throught the wilderness of Visakhapatnam. On a pilot basis, the Araku forests will be made accessible for tourists at night. Representatives of the forest department and the tourism department will escort the tourists for night forest tours to ensure safety. The night vihar wil be arranged on jeeps and the authorities have ensured that the safety of the tourists is prime important. Goa Raj Bhavan closed to tourists for security reasons

Two days after former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik took charge as the Governor of Goa, the Raj Bhavan, a palatial restored fort which had been recently opened for tourists, has been closed to visitors due to “security reasons”. The Goa Tourism department which was coordinating tours to the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday posted a notice on its website saying the Raj Bhavan would be “closed to visitors for six months due to security reasons”. APTDC launches food zones in tourist hotspots

With an aim to attract more tourists to the state, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC), has set up food zones at three popular tourist spots in the state. The new facilities have been set up at Bheemili, Araku, and Yaradu beach.
