With an aim to expand its presence in Thailand, Hilton has announced its plans to launch two new properties in Bangkok by 2022. Both the hotels will be in the Thai capital of Bangkok, and will form part of Hilton’s expansion into this territory, joining seven hotels currently in the pipeline. The Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) is planning to develop budget hotels in all district headquarters on the lines of Haritha chain of hotels and resorts with an aim to boost tourism in the state. TSTDC has written a letter to District Collectors in this regard, seeking allotment of required land for the proposed budget hotels that would provide affordable accommodation to tourists visiting various destinations. Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo has partially reopened on June 12, seven weeks after the property was attacked by a suicide bomber on Easter Sunday.
