Kuveshi canopy walkway in Karnataka to be open for public this November
India’s first canopy walk is all set to open for tourists by mid-November. Though it was inaugurated in February, entry of tourists was barred because of monsoon. The 240 meter canopy walkway 30 meters above ground level in the dense forests of Western Ghats was constructed by the The Forest and Tourism departments jointly at a cost of Rs 84 lakh. It is situated at Kuveshi in Castle Rock wildlife range. The canopy walk project was proposed three years ago; however it was delayed due to objections by conservationists.
