China’s Ganzhou promotes tourism in Hamburg
The local government of southeast China’s Ganzhou City in Jiangxi Province and Ganzhou Tourism Development Committee held a city tourism promotion event in Germany’s Hamburg. One month long Jatayu Carnival kick-starts in Chadayamangalam
The Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, has inaugurated the one-month long Jatayu Carnival at Chadayamangalam in Kollam. “Jatayu Earth’s Centre has the potential to be the most popular destination,” said the chief minister after inaugurating the Carnival. “The Earth’s Centre area is very pleasant and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Yoga centre, Ayurveda centre, adventure tourism and the state of the art cable car system are all of international standard,” he said. Saudi Arabia opens e-visa for tourists

The service will be available to citizens of USA, Australia, Japan, South Korea, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and all Schengen Area countries. “Its holders could travel throughout the whole desert country except for the holy cities of Mecca and Medina,” said Prince Abdul Aziz, a member of the Royal House of Saudi. The Philippines adds a direct flight route to China
China’s Xiamen Airlines officially launched its Davao to Quanzhou direct flight, marking the opening of Davao’s first direct flight route to Mainland China. The new flight service is set to provide a bridge in the air for the economic and trade exchanges between Davao and Jinjiang of Quanzhou as sister cities. Davao has thus become the fourth Philippine city where Xiamen Airlines operates direct flights, after Manila, Cebu and Kalibo. Astari Indah Vernideani of Indonesia has won the Miss Tourism International 2018/2019 title, during the finals held at the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She was crowned by last year’s winner Jannie Alipoon of the Philippines. Julieane Aya Fernandez of the Philippines was named “Dream Girl of the Year International. Kenya’s Sarah Pkyach was named “Miss Tourism Metropolitan International,” Australia’s Sandra Callahan won “Miss Tourism Global,” while Latvia’s Laura Scuchare got “Miss Tourism Cosmopolitan International.” The host delegate from Malaysia was given a special award called “Miss Southeast Asia Tourism Ambassadress.

Hainan launches direct flight between Paris and Chongqing
Hainan Airlines, one of the largest carriers in China, has launched direct flight between Paris and Chongqing. The 12-hour non-stop flight will make traveling between Chongqing and Paris much easier, saving both time and money for Chinese passengers wanting to experience Paris’ famed romance. ISRO’s reusable rocket technology enters next stage
ISRO is working on reusable technology for reducing the cost of access to space including the development of a winged body unmanned reusable launch vehicle for launching payloads into low earth orbits. ISRO has successfully developed a scaled down (1:5) technology demonstration version of Reusable Launch Vehicle – Technology Demonstrator (RLV-TD) vehicle and successfully carried out the first experimental mission on May 23, 2016 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. India’s first underwater museum to open in Puducherry
The country’s first underwater museum is all set to come up off Puducherry coast. The new addition is expected to give a fillip to the tourism sector in the Union territory. INS Cuddalore, a minesweeper decommissioned in March after it travelled 30,000 nautical miles in 30 years, will be turned into a museum. The minesweeper will be deployed in the seabed 7 km off Puducherry at a depth of 26 metres. The 60-metre long and 12-metre wide vessel will be a popular destination for scuba diving and snorkelling. New Beijing Airport The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) aims to construct 216 new airports by 2035 to meet the growing demands for air travel.
