Emirates to operate scheduled A380 service to Amman
Emirates will operate its A380 aircraft to and from Amman between 01 June and 26 October 2019, in response to increased demand for travel during the summer period. This adjustment will see the airline operate one of its three daily flights on the route (EK 903/904) with its flagship A380. Indonesia to woo Singaporeans to enhance tourism
Ranoh Island, Batam Indonesian Tourism has identified Singapore as a tourism hub for the year 2019, as it seeks to benefit from 7,200 flights a week from and through the island state. It was revealed by Arief Yahya, the Tourism Minister. “I am saying that it is easier to fish in the neighbor’s pond that has already has a lot of fish. Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran has promised to consider the Kadamakudy tourism project in the next tourism working group meeting. He was talking to the media after visiting Pizhala, a part of Kadamakudy on Thursday, to review the proposed project. “Kadamakkudy has immense potential to attract tourists. China warns citizens about travelling to Canada
China has issued a travel advisory to its citizens, urging them to “fully assess the risks of travel” to Canada after a Chinese executive was arrested in the North American country. China’s Foreign Ministry said Canada recently “arbitrarily detained” a Chinese national, a reference to Chinese executive Meng Wanzhou. Meng, the chief financial officer at Huawei, a global telecommunications conglomerate, was arrested on December 1 at the request of the United States. Thailand extends visa-on-arrival fee waiver until April 30
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced extension of the visa-on-arrival fee waiver for citizens of 20 countries until 30 April 2019. Mumbai airport stops stamping boarding passes
Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has stopped physical stamping of boarding passes by security personnel for domestic passengers. Passengers travelling within the country from Terminal 2 can authenticate their boarding pass at the pre-embarkation security check points by scanning its barcode or QR code with their mobile phones at the e-gates reader, using Live Passenger Dataset. This makes the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport the first in the country to introduce the latest technology, proposed by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).
