Clean fuel from national capital

With a vision to curb air pollution and associated health hazards, oil companies have decided to supply clean Euro-4 grade diesel and petrol from 1st April in Delhi. Meanwhile, the move is as part of Supreme Court’s strict order to introduce BS-4 fuels all along the national capital. Super typhoon could flood one third of central Tokyo: survey

Areas in Tokyo equivalent to a third of its central 23 wards could be inundated to a maximum depth of 10 meters by storm surges caused by a powerful typhoon, the Tokyo metropolitan government said. One third of central Tokyo could be left under water and nearly four million people affected if the super typhoon Jelawat strikes the capital causing storm surges, said a new study from local authorities. New visa rule issued in US

Emirates makes history with one-off A380 touchdown in Beirut

The Emirates A380 touched down in Beirut today for a historic one-off service to Rafic Al Hariri International Airport (BEY), contributing to an aviation milestone for Lebanon and its hub airport. 6.9 magnitude earthquake at Papua New Guinea: Tsunami alert issued

A massive earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale, shook the southern coast of Papua New Ginea’s New Britain Island. Due to the intensity of the quake, a tsunami alert has been issued for the neighbouring coastlines. According to media reports, United States Geological Survey states that the earthquake has occurred for about 144 km East of Kimbe, with a depth of over 35 km. More details are awaited.

China to launch World’s Longest Sea Bridge

The Republic of Chinese government is about to open the world’s longest sea bridge connecting Hong Kong, Macau and Chinese mainland. The project is estimated to cost around 100 billion yuan ($15.1 billion), that houses an underwater tunnel, and a curved snaking road. It is said that the structure has used about 420,000 tonnes of steel that could build nearly 60 Eiffel Towers. Researchers from Weill Cornell Medicine and NYU Langone Health (US), had discovered one more organ in the human body named as the interstitium. The so-called interstitium is a fluidic membrane inside our skin, that protects and cushions other organs from damages. An earthquake measuring over 4.6 magnitude was measured on the Richter scale, around 4.03 am today at Gujarat. ISRO ready to deploy GSAT-6A

ISRO, India’s all-time pioneer in space research is about to launch, GSAT-6A communication satellites in the orbit at 4.56pm today from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. Today’s launch have another highlight, as ISRO is back again introducing home-made satellites into mainstream.
