The Emirates A380 touched down in Beirut today for a historic one-off service to Rafic Al Hariri International Airport (BEY), contributing to an aviation milestone for Lebanon and its hub airport. A massive earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale, shook the southern coast of Papua New Ginea’s New Britain Island. Due to the intensity of the quake, a tsunami alert has been issued for the neighbouring coastlines. The Republic of Chinese government is about to open the world’s longest sea bridge connecting Hong Kong, Macau and Chinese mainland. ISRO, India’s all-time pioneer in space research is about to launch, GSAT-6A communication satellites in the orbit at 4.56pm today from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. Today’s launch have another highlight, as ISRO is back again introducing home-made satellites into mainstream.
