Karnataka tourism spends Rs 8 crore for Dasara publicity

From Last year’s Dasara Festival In order to stimulate the drooping tourism in Mysuru, the State Tourism Department is spending Rs 8 crore for this year’s Dasara. The ministry is spending lavishly for the publicity of the forthcoming Dasara festival. It is expected to attract more tourists, locally, nationally and internationally. “Chief Minister H.D. Jharsuguda airport, Odisha Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha, has expressed optimism that the development of the diverse Odisha tourism products will receive a major stimulus following the functioning of the new commercial airport at Jharsuguda. Havas Media India wins digital media promotion contract of Sri Lanka tourism

Colombo, Sri Lanka Havas Media India together with their local partner in Sri Lanka, Agxa Pvt. Ltd., has been assigned to handle the digital media promotion activities for Srilanka Tourism. It was announced by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB). The value of the contract is approximately Rs 30 crores and will be handled out of the agency’s Gurgaon office led by Uday Mohan, Managing Partner – North and East India. Record visitors for Shanghai international tourism festival 2018

Shanghai Tourism Festival 2018, which concluded on Saturday 7th October 2018, saw a record 12.75 million visitors from China and abroad, which is more than five percent from the previous year, as informed by the organizers. The festival witnessed performances by more than 1,300 performers came from 25 countries and regions in the parade held at the opening ceremony of the festival on September 15, 2018. Delhi and Moscow sign agreement for cooperation in tourism

Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi with Sergey Cheremin, Minister of Moscow Delhi government has signed a twin city agreement with Moscow, Russia, on 5th October 2018, for cooperation tourism, transport, education, culture, healthcare, e-governance and environment. MoUs for tourism projects worth Rs 3000 crores signed for Uttarakhand

  Uttarakhand tourism to have tourism projects amounting to about Rs 3,600 crore, which will boost the tourism and hospitality industry of the state. MoUs for the projects were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Tourism and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj on the Investors Meet held on 4th October 2018. Perumathura beach to get Rs 3 crore development

Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran has said that the Rs 3 crore development project for the Perumathura beach in Thiruvananthapuram, will be implemented soon. The project features a walkway, ticket counter, children’s park, landscaping, watchtower, parking ground and retaining wall. Goa tourism invites tender for beach cleaning services

Goa tourism department is inviting tender for providing comprehensive cleaning services in the beaches of the state, for a period of five years. Cleaning works will include collection, segregation, transportation and disposal of garbage from various beaches. 10th October 2018 is the last date to submit the tender. The previous contract for cleaning given to two Mumbai based contractors has ended up in controversy, alleging multi-crore scams associated in the award. Ram Cleaners and Developers Pvt. Ltd. Antalya, a city in the southern part of Turkey, is emerging as the sought after tourist destination, with foreign tourists surging from all around the world.
