Singapore eyes 14% growth in tourist arrivals from India

Singapore is expecting 14 per cent growth in tourist footfalls from India this year compared to 2017, and plans to tap the growing young travellers. “Last year was a record year where we received 1.27 million Indians travellers. This year, from January till September we have already received 1.08 million Indians. New drug to treat travellers’ diarrhea

The U S Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has approved Aemcolo (rifamycin), an antibacterial drug indicated for the treatment of adult patients with travellers’ diarrhea caused by noninvasive strains of Escherichia coli (E. coli), not complicated by fever or blood in the stool. “Travellers’ diarrhea affects millions of people each year and having treatment options for this condition can help reduce symptoms of the condition,” said Edward Cox, M D, M P H, director of the Office of Antimicrobial Products in the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. Israel sets new record in inbound tourism

Israel Tourism has set a new record for tourist arrival in the current year. It was announced by the The Ministry of Tourism on Friday. 3.6 million tourists have visited Israel during the year 2017. This follows a record set in October 2018 for the most visitors and pilgrims to Israel in one month – nearly 500,000, which broke the previous all-time incoming tourism set in April 2018 by almost 20 per cent. Valmiki Nagar Tiger Reserve in Bihar to be an eco-tourism center

Bihar government plans a number of developmental programs in the Valmiki Nagar of West Champaran district to make it an eco-tourism destination. Ujjayanda Palace, Agartala Tripura will host the 7th International Tourism Mart from 22nd November 2018 at Agartala. Israel’s Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) is planning to increase its services in Kerala to woo more tourists from the state to the Jewish state.
