Winter helicopter service in Ladakh from Dec 29

Ladakh, May 31 (ANI): IAF chopper seen flying, in Leh on Monday. (ANI Photo) The winter helicopter service in Ladakh will commence on December 29, an official said on Sunday. During winter, Ladakh generally remains cut off from the rest of the country due to the closure of the Srinagar-Leh national highway owing to heavy snowfall. The flight will start from Leh to Kargil, and then from Kargil to Srinagar, and vice versa: Srinagar-Kargil-Leh, the official said. Online bookings for the winter rides have opened, he said.

U.S. Travel & Tourism saw labor shortfall of almost 700,000 in 2021

A new analysis of staff shortages by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), which represents the global private Travel & Tourism sector, reveals the sector realized a U.S. labor shortfall of almost 700,000 workers during 2021. According to the report, the outlook for 2022 is only slightly more positive, with approximately 480,000 direct* U.S. Travel & Tourism jobs, or one in 13 positions, predicted to go unfilled next year. Delhi-Kathmandu bus service resumes from Wednesday

The Delhi-Kathmandu bus service, suspended for over one and half years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will resume from December 15, Transport officials said on Tuesday. A notification issued on Monday by the Delhi Transport Corporation(DTC)stated that the Delhi-Kathmandu bus will operate from Ambedkar Bus Terminal at 10 AM on December 15, said DTC Deputy Chief General Manager (PR) RS Minhas. Most places in Kashmir, including Srinagar city, experienced the coldest night of the season so far as the minimum temperature plummeted several notches below the freezing point, officials said on Saturday.
