India’s fastest train Gatimaan Express has been extended up to Bundelkhand Region w.e.f 1st April, 2018. The Train no 12049/50 Nizammuddin-Agra Cantt Gatimaan Exp. has been extended upto Gwalior/Jhansi for facilitating passengers. “The extension of this prestigious premium train will facilitate movement of tourists to various tourist attractions in and around Gwalior and Jhansi of Bundelkhand region. Royal Jordanian airlines ranks 3rd in punctuality
Royal Jordanian Airlines, the flag carrier of Jordan listed as the third most punctual airlines operating in the Middle East and African region. The airlines showed about 84.53 per cent on-time arrival, according to a report by FlightStats. Aviation tax comes into force on Sweden
As part of reducing the atmospheric pollution, Sweden, the Scandinavia country in Northern Europe, introduces aviation tax to all passenger flights operating from the country. “The objective of the tax is to minimise the carbon footprint of flights following a sharp increase in air travel,” said Isabella Lovin, Minister for climate and Greens spokeswoman. The added charges for the flights include 60 to 400 kronas ($7 to $49), with respect to the length of the flight. Abu Dhabi concludes three-city roadshow to China
A tourism delegation led by the Department of Culture and Tourism– Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has successfully concluded three-day, three city roadshow in China. The DCT Abu Dhabi conducted the roadshow to help raise awareness about the emirate as a holiday destination for Chinese travellers. McDonald’s trying to ban plastic straws from UK restaurants
McDonald’s has decided to ban plastic straws in UK restaurants as a means to cut down on waste. McDonald’s UK announced that a small chunk of its 1,300 locations in Britain will be switching over to biodegradable paper straws in May, as part of a trial run. Ireland to open its first nudist beach in April
The first nude beach on the island of Ireland will officially open at Hawk Cliff in Dalkey, south Dublin in April. Public notices are being posted in the area to warn fellow sunbathers not to be shocked at the sight of naked people roaming freely on the beach. Cathay Pacific ends skirts-only policy after 70 years
Cathay Pacific has decided to end its 70-year-old skirts-only rule for female uniformed staff after the flight attendants’ union won the right to wear trousers.
