Letters of Intent awarded to 9 agencies for 22 monuments

The Ministry of Culture and Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), has conducted the 3rd Award Ceremony of Adopt a Heritage Project at New Delhi for awarding the Letters of Intent to the shortlisted agencies under Phase IV of the project. The project ‘Adopt a Heritage: Apni Dharohar, Apni Pehchaan’ was launched on 27th September 2017, that aims to preserve the rich natural heritage and culture of India, for the smooth promotion of tourism to the country. Singapore Airlines to launch world’s longest non-stop flight

Singapore Airlines is all set to launch the world’s first non-stop flight with almost 20 hours in the air, by the end of this year. Singapore Airlines’ newest plane, the Airbus A350-900ULR will connect Singapore to New York. On April 23, the plane had its first test flight, an almost five-hour round-trip that launched from the airframer’s assembly plant in Toulouse, France. The Ultra Long-Range will be able to fly a remarkable 11,160 miles, an increase of more than 1,800 miles over the standard A350. Emirates introduces Home Check-in in Dubai

Emirates has introduced Home Check-in, a new service which allows customers to check in for their flights from anywhere in Dubai. The service is available for customers across all classes travelling on Emirates flights. The new service enables Emirates passengers to complete the security check and check-in from the comfort of their home, hotel or office and have their luggage transported to the airport prior to their flight. Thomas Cook (India) has been selected as a preferred partner for the Tourism Industry Partnership (TIP) Programme between Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) and Immigration New Zealand (INZ). China’s Hainan offer ‘free visa’ for tourists from 59 countries

Hainan, a small southern island province of China, plans to offer visa-free on arrival for over 59 countries. According to media reports, the policy might come into force from 1st May in which the travellers are permitted to stay for over 30 days. As part of the new policy, individual tourist and groups from countries namely Britain, France, Germany, and the United States, can visit Hainan visa-free and stay there for up to 30 days on conditions.
