New Floating Market attracts visitors to Perlis, Malaysia
Floating Market in Pengkalan Tok Kuning, is the new tourist attraction in the state of Perils, Malaysia, by offering experience like traveling abroad. The innovative concept was implemented by the Perlis Fishing and Recreation Club to offer a unique travel and shopping experience to the visitors. The floating market is located about 5 Km from Kangar Town. Ghost village in Switzerland to become ‘scattered hotel’
Scattered across the scenic Verzasca Valley, the Swiss village of Corippo is slowly becoming a ghost town. It was dwelling of 300 people during the 19th Century, but now population has dropped to just 12 inhabitants with a reported average age of 75. AirAsia to launch Vizag-Bangkok flights from Dec 8
Low-cost air carrier AirAsia has announced the launch of a new flight service connecting Visakhapatnam and Bangkok. The service, which begins from December 8, will operate on four weekdays from Vizag to Bangkok (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) and the return flights from Bangkok to Vizag would be on Monday, Wednesday. Dudhsagar waterfalls is now open to public
The authorities have officially opened the Dudhsagar waterfalls, situated deep within the Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary. The new season commenced on Tuesday with 1,127 tourists recorded on day one. The all-terrain vehicles ferrying passengers to and fro needs prior permission from the forest department. This season, almost 431 such vehicles have been registered with the state wildlife board. The forest department has restricted the number of trips by the all-terrain vehicles to 170 per day during weekdays and 225 per day on weekends. Chile opens spectacular 1,700-mile trail, connecting 17 national parks
Chile has opened a massive new hiking trail that spans a third of the country and connects 17 national parks. The new hiking route through the region of Patagonia, starts from Puerto Montt all the way to Cape Horn. The route comprises three already existing hiking trails and links them into one contiguous route. The land was donated to the Chilean government by Tompkins Conservation, an organization founded by American billionaire and North Face and Esprit founder Douglas Tompkins and his wife. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park reopens after 134 days

Kilauea volcano, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, situated in the park, erupted in May 2018 and caused widespread damage to park infrastructure and dramatically changed its landscape. The park had been closed for 134 days as volcanic activity caused explosive eruptions, earthquakes and the collapse of the famed Halemaumau crater. Thirteen new hill stations to come up in Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said the state was in the process of developing 13 new hill stations to give a boost to tourism as older destinations such as Nainital and Mussoorie had reached saturation. Kerala Tourism conducts short term training programmes for tour guides
Kerala Tourism department is inviting application for tour guide training programmes at state and regional levels. There are 50 seats available for the state level course and 200 seats for the regional level. Training centers will be in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Thalassery. Last date to submit the application is 22nd October 2018. Duration for the state level course is 9 weeks and 4 weeks for the regional level.
