Ayurveda Departments will be opened in 19 AIIMS- Ayush Minister
Shripad Yesso Naik , Minister of State for AYUSH , addressing the gathering Shripad Yesso Naik , Minister of State for AYUSH has announced that Ayurveda Departments will be opened in the new 19 AIIMS. He said, work is already on to start Ayurveda Departments in hundred ESIC hospitals under Ministry of Labour. Tourist Facilitation and Information Counter opens at IGI Airport
Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi – Terminal 3 K J Alphons, Union Minister for Tourism, inaugurated the Tourist facilitation and information counter at Indira Gandhi International Airport New Delhi, today. The facilitation counter is located at the T3 terminal arrival gates of the IGI Airport on 5th November 2018. The Tourism Ministry is also starting Facilitation Counters in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Gaya and Varanasi. Kenya to review a charter incentive program to boost inbound tourism
The Kenyan government to review a charter incentives program to incorporate low-cost carriers and scheduled flights to boost inbound tourism. Joe Okudo, permanent secretary at the tourism ministry, said the number of charters has risen from one charter (Condor Airlines) to 10 now, boosting tourism business in the region, which has been affected by negative travel advisories. “This move will not only strengthen our destination’s brand visibility as a whole in the source markets but increase visitor number. Arunachal plans tourism promotion with the help of ‘tourist police’
Arunachal Pradesh is all set to promote the state tourism with the help of tourism police. The state Chief Minister Prema Khandu has recently launched tourist police spreading across seven different districts. There are umpteen number of ways countries and local bodies promote tourism. Cat tourism is one such novel idea to help small town and rejuvenate local economies by promoting tourism. A record high 1.3 million Chinese people visited Australia in the 12 months to June 2018 as per the latest International Visitor Survey (IVS), released by Tourism Research Australia (TRA) on Friday 2nd November 2018. During this period around 1.3 million tourists visited Australia, who spent 11.3 billion Australian dollars (8.1 billion U.S. dollars) in the country, which is 15 per cent more than that of the previous year. Superfast AC ferry to connect Vaikom and Kochi from Nov 4
Kerala’s first air-conditioned and fastest ferry is all set to be launched by November 4 connecting the 35-km Vaikom-Ernakulam-Fort Kochi route. The ferry can accommodate 40 passengers in its AC cabin and 80 in the non-AC area. It is expected to complete the journey between Vaikom and Ernakulam Boat Jetty in 90 minutes, compared to the two hour via buses that ply between the two places.
