England to host National Samosa Week
As part of promoting South Asian cuisine and culture, a first-ever National Samosa Week is about to be held in Britain’s Leicester city. Coordinated by Leicester Curry Awards (an annual gala dinner celebration), the five-day event is about to start on 9th April. “There’s a national food event for everything, from burgers to beer, so why not samosas? Alaska Airlines elevates First Class menu and experience
To give guests more of what they love, Alaska Airlines is investing in the First Class experience with West Coast-inspired upgrades. A flavorful new First Class menu will start flying this week, while new thoughtful product extras will be introduced throughout 2018, the airlines said in a statement. AAHAR 2018 kick starts in Delhi
Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Suresh Prabhu inaugurated the 33rd edition of ‘AAHAR 2018’, a 4-day event on International Food and Hospitality at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The event is organised by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), in association with Agricultural Processed Food Products Development Authority (APEDA), and Ministry of Food Processing Industries. Dubai breaks world record for largest cup of hot tea
Dubai breaks another world record by making “the largest cup of hot tea”. The “tea cup” has a height of 3.66 metres, a top inner diameter of 1.42 metres, and is capable of holding a volume of 5,000 litres. A total of 120 chefs participated in the challenge at Global Village on Thursday. 155 kilograms of tea-leaf powder, 270 kilograms of milk powder, 360 kilograms of sugar, ginger and cinnamon were used to fill the cup.
