Pamodzi carnival is one of the major cultural events of Zambia, which showcase traditional dance, food and drink, music and handcrafts. The event is organized by the Department of Arts and Culture, Ministry of Tourism. This year’s carnival is on 18th August 2018 at Lusaka. The event is expected to have participation from international groups with representation in Zambia. The Bristol Balloon Fiesta makes its long-awaited return to Bristol’s Ashton Court this weekend and is sure to attract visitors from across the country. Bristol’s biggest annual festival is the largest hot air ballooning event in Europe and crowds of around 100,000 people are expected to descend on Ashton Court each day. KJ Alphons, Union Tourism Minister for State said on Monday that the government is planning to launch a campaign for promoting Kumbh Mela across the country with a tag line ‘Chalo Kumbh Chalo’. Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh to conduct International power boat racing championship in Krishna River in November. The event will be conducted on November 9, 10, and 11.
