GoAir launches non-stop flights to Singapore from Bengaluru & Kolkata
GoAir has launched non-stop flights to Singapore from Bengaluru and Kolkata. Starting October 18, 2019, GoAir will operate Bengaluru – Singapore – Bengaluru flights four days in a week. Effective October 19, 2019, GoAir will operate the Kolkata – Singapore – Kolkata flights three days in a week. Thirty nine new services heading to Kerala airports from October
A total of 39 new domestic services will be operated from Kerala from October, with 23 of them from Thiruvananthapuram airport. The decision came in the wake of a meeting held by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan with CEOs of various airline companies. Air India and Vistara will have one new service each, Air Asia will have seven new services, Spice Jet will have eight and GoAir will have 22 new services. SpiceJet to launch six new international, domestic flights
SpiceJet is planning to introduce six new flights to expand its network across domestic and international routes. The low-cost carrier has introduced a second non-stop flight on the Kolkata-Bangkok-Kolkata sector and also increased frequencies on the domestic sectors of Kolkata-Chennai and Chennai-Shirdi. Vietnam’s low-cost airline VietJet Air, popularly known as as ‘Bikini airline’ for having cabin crew dressed in ‘Bikini’ in some of its flight, is going to start two direct flights to India by the year end. AirAsia launches daily direct flights from Delhi starting at Rs 1,365
AirAsia has introduced daily direct flights from Delhi to Chandigarh and Bengaluru from August 1 and 5, respectively. The operations on the Delhi-Chandigarh route will be starting at Rs 1,365. The airline also announced the timings of the flights on the route, stating that the flight would leave from Delhi at 10:40 am every day and would reach Chandigarh at 11:50 am. Emirates to launch services to Mexico City via Barcelona
Emirates has announced its plan to launch a new daily service from Dubai (DXB) to Mexico City International Airport (MEX), via the Spanish city of Barcelona (BCN), starting on 9 December 2019. Air India increases check-in baggage limit by 10 kgs for UAE-bound passengers
Happy news to passengers travelling to the UAE on the new Air India flight from Indore. The passengers to and from Indore can now carry 10 kgs more in their check-in luggage as the airline has, with immediate effect, increased the baggage allowance from 30 kgs to 40 kgs. The move is in line with the increasing demand by the travel community for an enhanced baggage allowance on the route. Air India to launch Delhi-Toronto direct flight in September
Air India will launch the Delhi-Toronto direct flight on the occasion of World Tourism Day on September 27. The airline is also planning to launch a direct flight to Nairobi, Kenya sometime in October. “We will launch Delhi-Toronto non-stop flight from September 27 on the occasion of the World Tourism Day,” said Ashwini Lohani, Chairman & MD, Air India. GoAir is all set to add seven new routes to its international network, which will include three new destinations – Bangkok, Dubai, and Kuwait from July 19 onwards. Nepal to get two new international airports
By 2020, the government plans to operate two new international airports in Pokhara and Lumbini which will help boost tourism from India to Nepal and vice-versa. Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has recently conducted its destination presentation in New Delhi on 8 July at The Park hotel. The event showcased the country’s many tourism offerings, as the Board targets a 25 per cent growth in arrivals from India.
