വരൂ ദുബായ്ക്ക് .മൊബൈല്‍ ആപ്പുമായി യുഎഇ
യുഎഇയിലെ വിവിധ എമിറേറ്റുകളിലേക്ക് ജോലി വിസയില്‍ പോകുന്ന ഇന്ത്യക്കാര്‍ക്കായി പുതിയ സ്മാർട്ട് ഫോൺ ആപ്ലിക്കേഷന്‍ ഒരുക്കി യുഎഇ എംബസി. ജോലി വിസയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട നടപടിക്രമങ്ങളിലേറെയും ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ നിന്ന് തന്നെ പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കുകയും യു.എ.ഇയിലെത്തിയാല്‍ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ എളുപ്പമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുകയെന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെയാണ് പുതിയ അപ്ലിക്കേഷന്‍ ആവിഷ്കരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഇതിന് മുമ്പ് യുഎഇയില്‍ എത്തിയതിന് ശേഷം ചെയ്യേണ്ടിയിരുന്ന പല നടപടിക്രമങ്ങളും മൊബൈല്‍ ആപ്ലിക്കേഷനിലൂടെ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ തന്നെ ചെയ്യാൻ സാധിക്കുമെന്നതാണ് ഇതിന്‍റെ പ്രത്യേകതയെന്ന് യുഎഇ അംബാസഡര്‍ അഹ്മദ് അല്‍ ബന്ന പറഞ്ഞു. ഇതോടെ ജോലി സ്ഥലത്തെത്തിയ ശേഷമുണ്ടാവുന്ന നിയമ വ്യവസ്ഥകള്‍ ലഘൂകരിക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കും. നിലവില്‍ ഹിന്ദി, ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് എന്നീ ഭാഷകളിൽ ലഭ്യമാക്കുന്ന ആപ്ലിക്കേഷന്‍ താമസിയാതെ മലയാളത്തിലും ലഭ്യമാക്കുമെന്ന് അധികൃതര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. യാത്ര സുഗമവും പ്രയാസരഹിതവുമാക്കാനുള്ള നിര്‍ദേശങ്ങള്‍ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളിച്ചാണ് ആപ്ലിക്കേഷന്‍ തയ്യാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. നിര്‍ബന്ധമായും ചെയ്തിരിക്കേണ്ട വൈദ്യ പരിശോധന, സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റുകളുടെ അറ്റസ്റ്റേഷന്‍, പോലിസ് ക്ലിയറന്‍സ് സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് എന്നിവയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട നിര്‍ദ്ദേശങ്ങളും ആപ്ലിക്കേഷനിലുണ്ട്.

ലോകത്തെ അതിസാഹസിക യാത്രകളില്‍ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും ശ്രദ്ധേയ യാത്രയാണ് ലഡാക്കിലെ ‘ചഡര്‍ ട്രെക്കിങ്ങ്’. വര്‍ഷാരംഭത്തിലെ ആദ്യ മാസങ്ങളില്‍ സഞ്ചാരികളുടെ തിരക്ക് കൂടുന്ന ലഡാക്കില്‍ ട്രെക്കിങ്ങ് സൗകര്യത്തിനായി 16 കിലോമീറ്ററാണ് നീണ്ട് കിടക്കുന്നത്. തണുപ്പ് അധികഠിനമാകുന്ന ഈ സമയത്ത് സംസ്‌ക്കാര്‍ നദി മഞ്ഞ് കഷ്ണമായി മാറി നദി ഇല്ലാതായി മഞ്ഞ് മാത്രമാവും. ഈ സമയത്താണ് ഇവിടം ട്രെക്കിങ്ങിന് അനുയോജ്യമാവുന്നത്. തണുപ്പും ഉയരവും പ്രശ്‌നം തന്നെയാണ്. എന്നാലും സ്‌കേറ്റിങ്ങ് പ്രേമികള്‍ക്കും സാഹസിക സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്കും ഒഴിവാക്കാന്‍ പറ്റാത്ത യാത്രയാണ് സംസ്‌ക്കാര്‍ നദിയിലൂടെയുള്ള യാത്ര. നവംബര്‍ മുതല്‍ മാര്‍ച്ച് വരെയുള്ള സമയത്ത് ഇവിടേക്കുള്ള പല റോഡുകളും ഏതാണ്ട് സഞ്ചാരത്തിന് പോലും സാധ്യമാകാത്ത വിധത്തില്‍ മഞ്ഞാല്‍ മൂടപ്പെടും. ഈ സമയമാണ് ട്രെക്കിങ്ങിനായി കൂടുതല്‍ സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നത്.മഞ്ഞുകാലം അല്ലാത്തപ്പോള്‍ അതിമനോഹരിയായി ഒഴുകിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന മായാനദിയാണ് സംസ്‌ക്കാര്‍ നദി.എന്നാല്‍ താഴെ ഒഴുക്കും മുകളില്‍ മഞ്ഞിന്റെ വിരിപ്പുമായി മഞ്ഞുകാലം വരുമ്പോള്‍ അവളുടെ രൂപം മാറും.

മംഗളൂരുവില്‍നിന്ന് ചെന്നൈയ്ക്കും കൊച്ചുവേളിയിലേക്കും പ്രത്യേക ട്രെയിന്‍
മംഗളൂരുവില്‍നിന്ന് കൊച്ചുവേളിയിലേക്കും ചെന്നൈയിലേക്കും പ്രത്യേക ട്രെയിനുകള്‍. ഈ മാസം 28നും ഫെബ്രുവരി നാലിനും പുലര്‍ച്ചെ 3.40ന് മംഗളൂരു ജങ്ഷനില്‍ നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടുന്ന ട്രെയിന്‍ (06054) അടുത്ത ദിവസം പുലര്‍ച്ചെ അഞ്ചിന് കൊച്ചുവേളിയിലെത്തും. യാത്രക്കാരുടെ തിരക്ക് കണക്കിലെടുത്താണ് സ്‌പെഷ്യൽ ട്രെയിൻ അനുവദിച്ചത്. ഈ മാസം 26നും ഫെബ്രുവരി രണ്ടിനും കൊച്ചുവേളിയില്‍നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടുന്ന ട്രെയിന്‍ (06053) അടുത്ത ദിവസം രാവിലെ 5.10ന് മംഗളൂരു ജങ്ഷനിലെത്തും. ഈ സ്പെഷ്യല്‍ ട്രെയിനുകളില്‍ പ്രത്യേക നിരക്ക് ഈടാക്കും. കാസര്‍കോട്, കണ്ണൂര്‍, കോഴിക്കോട്, ഷൊര്‍ണൂര്‍, തൃശൂര്‍, ആലുവ, എറണാകുളം ടൌണ്‍, കോട്ടയം, തിരുവല്ല, ചെങ്ങന്നൂര്‍, കായംകുളം, കൊല്ലം എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില്‍ സ്റ്റോപ്പുണ്ടാകും. അവധിക്കാല തിരക്ക് കണക്കിലെടുത്ത് ഏപ്രില്‍ മുതല്‍ ജൂണ്‍ വരെ മംഗളൂരു – ചെന്നൈ റൂട്ടില്‍ പ്രത്യേക പ്രതിവാര ട്രെയിന്‍ സര്‍വീസുണ്ടാകും. ഏപ്രില്‍ മൂന്നുമുതല്‍ ചൊവ്വാഴ്ചകളില്‍ ചെന്നൈ സെന്‍ട്രലില്‍നിന്ന് വൈകിട്ട് 6.20ന് പുറപ്പെടുന്ന ട്രെയിന്‍ (06055) അടുത്ത ദിവസം ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് മംഗളൂരു ജങ്ഷനില്‍ എത്തും. ജൂണ്‍ 26വരെയാണ് സര്‍വീസ്. ഏപ്രില്‍ ... WHO promotes healthy tourism in Pacific

Travel and tourism fraternity is flocking to Thailand for ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) in Chiang Mai. The five-day ATF, one of the most momentous annual tourism promotion forum in Asia that includes Tourism Ministers from the ASEAN countries, various airline company meetings, tourism conference, travel exchange trade fair etc, will conclude on January 26. സഞ്ചാരി സംഘങ്ങളുടെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട ഇടമായ നെയ്യാര്‍ ഡാമിലെ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ ഏക സിംഹ സഫാരി പാര്‍ക്ക് അടച്ച് പൂട്ടല്‍ ഭീഷണിയില്‍. 17 ഓളം സിംഹങ്ങളാല്‍ നിറഞ്ഞ സഫാരി പാര്‍ക്കില്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ അവശേഷിക്കുന്നത് കേവലം രണ്ട് പെണ്‍ സിംഹങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രം. പാര്‍ക്കില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഏക ആണ്‍ സിംഹം കഴിഞ്ഞ മാസം ചത്തു. ഇപ്പോള്‍ അവശേഷിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു പെണ്‍ സിംഹങ്ങളും വാര്‍ധക്യം ബാധിച്ചു അവശതയിലാണ്. അവശത ബാധിച്ച സിംഹങ്ങള്‍ ക്ഷീണം കാരണം വനത്തില്‍ തന്നെ ഒതുങ്ങി കൂടുയതിനാല്‍ പാര്‍ക്കില്‍ എത്തുന്ന സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്ക് പലപ്പോഴും അവയെ കാണാന്‍ സാധിക്കാനാവുന്നില്ല. ഇക്കാരണത്താല്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശകരുടെ എണ്ണം ഗണ്യമായി കുറഞ്ഞു. പാര്‍ക്ക് സജീവമാക്കുന്നതിന് ഗുജറാത്തിലെ ഗീര്‍ വനത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് ഒരു ജോഡി സിംഹങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവരാനുള്ള നടപടി എങ്ങും എത്താതെ ഫയലില്‍ തന്നെ ഉറങ്ങുന്നു. വംശവര്‍ധന തടയുന്നതിനായി 2002ല്‍ രണ്ട് ആണ്‍ സിംഹങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വന്ധ്യംകരണം നടത്തിയതോടെയാണ് പാര്‍ക്കിലെ സിംഹങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം കുറഞ്ഞു. അതിനുശേഷം ഇവിടെ സിംഹകുഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്‍ പിറന്നിട്ടില്ല. പിന്നീട് ബാക്കിയായവ ഒന്നൊന്നായി ചത്തു. ... ഫോര്‍ട്ട്‌കൊച്ചി കാണാനെത്തിയ സ്വീഡന്‍ സ്വദേശി കടപ്പുറത്തോടു ചേര്‍ന്ന മാലിന്യക്കുഴിയില്‍വീണു. ഫോട്ടോ എടുക്കുന്നതിനിടയിലാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹം മാലിന്യക്കുഴിയില്‍ വീണത്. ഇതോടെ ഇയാളുടെ ഒപ്പമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ ബഹളം വെച്ചു. ഇതുകേട്ട് സമീപത്തെ കച്ചവടക്കാരും മറ്റും ഓടിയെത്തി.അവര്‍ കടലിലേക്ക്‌ മാറ്റി നിര്‍ത്തി സായിപ്പിനെ കുളിപ്പിച്ചു. കടപ്പുറത്തിനു തൊട്ടടുത്തായി മാലിന്യം ഒഴുകിയിരുന്ന ഓടയ്ക്ക്‌ സമീപത്ത് മാലിന്യം നിറഞ്ഞ് ചതുപ്പുപോലെ കിടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ഇവിടം വൃത്തിയാക്കാന്‍ നടപടി ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. കുറച്ചു നാളായി കടപ്പുറത്തെ ശുചീകരണം കാര്യക്ഷമമല്ല.

Kishtwar-Sinthan Top circuit gets Rs 7.37 cr
Photo Courtesy: J&K Tourism The Government of India has sanctioned Rs 7.37 crore tourism projects for the development of tourism infrastructure on Kishtwar- Sinthan Top circuit, in Jammu and Kashmir. “Rs 5.89 crore have been released in the first instance for taking up various components envisaged in the tourism project at Sinthan Top, Dedpath and Mughal Maidan,” said Minister of State for Tourism, Priya Sethi in the Assembly. The Department of Tourism has set apart Rs 7.5 crore for promotional activities to woo the European tourists to the state.
