Kolkata Port Trust (KoPT), established in 1870 by the British East India Company is all about to start a heritage cruise tour through the Hoogly from 28th April onwards. The cruise tour named ‘A voyage through Tide and Time’ is coordinated by the Kolkata Port Trust. The voyage starts from Maritime Heritage Centre at Old Fairlie Warehouse, in which the visitors would get the opportunity to learn about the country’s maritime history. അയര്‍ലന്‍ഡ് സ്വദേശിനി ലിഗയുടെ കുടുംബത്തിന് നീതി ഉറപ്പാക്കുമെന്ന് ഡിജിപി ലോക്നാഥ് ബെഹ്റ. ലിഗയുടെ മരണകാരണം കണ്ടെത്താന്‍ ശാസ്ത്രീയമായ അന്വേഷണമാണ് പൊലീസ് നടത്തുന്നത്. പാളിച്ചകളില്ലാത്ത അന്വേഷണം നടത്തി ലിഗയുടെ മരണകാരണം കണ്ടെത്താനാണ് പൊലീസ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നതെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. വിദേശത്തു നിന്നും വന്ന ഒരാള്‍ക്ക്‌ കേരളത്തില്‍ വച്ച് ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു ദുരന്തമുണ്ടായി എന്നതാണ് കേസിലെ പ്രധാന വിഷയം. ആ ഗൗരവം ഉള്‍ക്കൊണ്ടു തന്നെയാണ് പോലീസ് ഈ കേസിനെ സമീപിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്.   വളരെ സൂഷ്മതയോടെ ഈ കേസുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട നടപടികള്‍ പൊലീസ് പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കുന്നത്. ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച വിദഗദ്ധന്‍മാരുടെ സേവനമാണ് അന്വേഷണസംഘം ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ആന്തരികാവയവങ്ങള്‍ വിദഗ്ദ്ധ പരിശോധനയ്ക്ക് അയച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. പോസ്റ്റ്മോര്‍ട്ടം ഇന്‍ക്വസ്റ്റ് നടപടികളെല്ലാം റെക്കോര്‍ഡ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. അന്വേഷണസംഘത്തെ നയിക്കുന്ന ഐജി മനോജ് എബ്രഹാമുമായി നിരന്തരമായി കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ചര്‍ച്ചചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും ഡിജിപി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. അതേസമയം ഐജിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള അന്വേഷണം ലിഗയുടെ സഹോദരി എലിസ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്തു. ലിഗ ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്യില്ലെന്നും വാഴമുട്ടത്ത് ലിഗയ്ക്ക് ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് എത്താന്‍ കഴിയില്ലെന്നും എലിസ ആരോപിച്ചു.

കുറവ ദ്വീപില്‍ സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്ക് പ്രവേശിക്കാന്‍ ടോക്കണ്‍ ലഭിക്കണമെങ്കില്‍ ആധാര്‍കാര്‍ഡ്, ഐഡന്റിറ്റി കാര്‍ഡ്, ഡ്രൈവിംഗ് ലൈസന്‍സ് എന്നിവയിലേതെങ്കിലും തിരിച്ചറിയല്‍ രേഖ നിര്‍ബന്ധമാക്കിയതായി കുറുവ ഡിഎംസി ചീഫ് എക്‌സിക്യൂട്ടിവ് ഓഫിസര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. കുറുവ ദ്വീപിന്റെ സംരക്ഷണത്തിന് വേണ്ടി സന്ദര്‍ശകരുടെ എണ്ണം 400ആയി നിയന്ത്രണം എര്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു. പാല്‍ വെളിച്ചം ഭാഗത്തുള്ള കുറുവ ഡിഎംസിയുടെ കൗണ്ടറില്‍ നിന്ന് രാവിലെ 6 മുതല്‍ ടോക്കണ്‍ നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍, ടോക്കണ്‍ സംവിധാനം വ്യാപകമായി ചിലര്‍ ദുര്‍വിനിയോഗം ചെയ്തതോടെയാണ് തിരിച്ചറയില്‍ കാര്‍ഡ് നിര്‍ബന്ധമാക്കിയത്. ടോക്കണ്‍ എടുക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത് തിരിച്ചറിയല്‍ കാര്‍ഡ് ഉള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് മാത്രമേ ടിക്കറ്റ് അനുവദിക്കയുള്ളു. ഇടവേളക്ക് ശേഷം 2017 ഡിസംബര്‍ 16 മുതലാണ് സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ കുറവയില്‍ വീണ്ടും പ്രവേശനം അനുവദിച്ചത്. പ്രവേശനത്തിന് നിയന്ത്രണം എര്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയാണ് കുറവ ദ്വീപ് സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്ക് വനംവകുപ്പ് തുറന്ന് കൊടുത്തത്. പാക്കം ചെറിയമല ഭാഗത്ത് വനം വകുപ്പിന്റെ കീഴിലും പാല്‍ വെളിച്ചം ഭാഗത്ത് ഡിടിപിസിയുടെ കീഴിലുള്ള കുറുവ സിഎംസിയുമാണ് സന്ദര്‍ശകരെ ദ്വീപില്‍ പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നത്. രണ്ട് ഭാഗത്തുമായി 400 ... കേരളത്തിന്‍റെ തീരമേഖലയിൽ കടൽക്ഷോഭം ഇന്നു രാത്രി വരെ തുടരുമെന്ന് ദേശീയ സമുദ്ര ഗവേഷണകേന്ദ്രം. മൂന്നു മീറ്റർ വരെ ഉയരത്തിലുള്ള തിരമാലകൾക്കു സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. തീരപ്രദേശത്തുള്ളവരും വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരികളും തീരക്കടലിൽ മൽസ്യബന്ധനത്തിനു പോകുന്നവരും ജാഗ്രത പുലർത്തണമെന്നും സമുദ്രഗവേഷണകേന്ദ്രം അറിയിച്ചു. കൊല്ലം, ആലപ്പുഴ, കൊച്ചി, പൊന്നാനി, കോഴിക്കോട്, കണ്ണൂർ, കാസർകോട് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ തീരപ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ ഇന്നു രാത്രി 11.30 വരെ കൂറ്റൻ തിരമാലകൾ ആഞ്ഞടിക്കുവാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ടു ദിവസങ്ങളിലായി കാസർകോട് മുതൽ തിരുവനന്തപുരം വരെയുള്ള തീരമേഖലകളിൽ വ്യാപകമായ നാശനഷ്ടമാണു കടൽക്ഷോഭം മൂലമുണ്ടായത്. നൂറുകണക്കിനു കുടുംബങ്ങളെ മാറ്റിപ്പാർപ്പിച്ചു. ഒട്ടേറെ വീടുകൾ തകർന്നു. വലിയതുറയിൽ നേരത്തെയുള്ള അഞ്ചു ക്യാംപുകൾക്കു പുറമെ ഒരു ദുരിതാശ്വാസക്യാംപ് കൂടി തുടങ്ങി.

സംസ്ഥാത്ത് ആദ്യമായി പെട്രോള്‍, ഡീസല്‍ വില എക്കാലത്തേയും ഉയര്‍ന്ന നിരക്കില്‍. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് പെട്രോള്‍ ലീറ്ററിന് 78.43 രൂപയും ഡീസല്‍ വില 71.29 രൂപയുമായി. മുംബൈയില്‍ ഒരു ലീറ്റര്‍ പെട്രോളിന് 82.35 രൂപയായി. മറ്റു ജില്ലകളിലും പെട്രോള്‍, ഡീസല്‍ വില ഇതിനോടു സമാനമാണ്. 2013 സെപ്റ്റംബര്‍ 13നുശേഷമുള്ള ഉയര്‍ന്ന നിരക്കാണിപ്പോഴുള്ളത്. മാര്‍ച്ച് 17 മുതല്‍ പെട്രോളിന്റെയും ഡീസലിന്റെയും വില ഓരോ ദിവസവും കൂടുകയാണ്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഒരു മാസത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ ഡീസല്‍ വിലയില്‍ ശരാശരി രണ്ടര രൂപയും പെട്രോള്‍ വിലയില്‍ രണ്ടു രൂപയ്ക്കു മുകളിലുമാണു വര്‍ധന. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം ജൂണ്‍ 16 മുതലാണ് ഇന്ധന വില ഓരോ ദിവസവും മാറാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയത്. അന്ന് 68.26, 58.39 രൂപയായിരുന്ന ഇന്ധന വിലയാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഈ രീതിയില്‍ ഉയര്‍ന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്.

In what can be called a big relief to Indians, the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) has announced an extension of the Super Priority Visa service (SPV) to Pune and Bengaluru. The new announcement means more Indians would be able to get a decision on their visa in less than 24 hours. SPV is an optional service for customers in India who need to travel to the UK urgently.
