പ്രായാധിക്യം മൂലം നടക്കാന്‍ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുള്ളവര്‍ക്കും, രോഗികള്‍ക്കുമായി കോട്ടയം റെയില്‍വേ സ്റ്റേഷനിലെ പ്ലാറ്റ്‌ഫോമിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന ബഗ്ഗി കാറുകള്‍ വരുന്നു. ബാറ്ററി ഉപയോഗിച്ചു പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന ചെറിയ കാറുകളായ ബഗ്ഗി എത്തിക്കുന്നത് ബെംഗളൂരു ആസ്ഥാനമായ സ്വകാര്യ കമ്പനിയാണ്. രണ്ടു പ്ലാറ്റ്‌ഫോമിലും സര്‍വീസ് നടത്തുന്ന ബഗ്ഗി ഡ്രൈവറെക്കൂടാതെ മൂന്ന് പേര്‍ക്ക് കൂടി ഇരിക്കാം. ഒരു യാത്രക്കാരന് 30രൂപയാണ് നിരക്ക്. ഹാന്‍ഡ് ബാഗ് മാത്രം കൈയില്‍ കരുതാം ലഗേജുകള്‍ ബഗ്ഗിയില്‍ കയറ്റില്ല. ഒന്നും രണ്ടും പ്ലാറ്റ്‌ഫോമുകളില്‍ ഇപ്പോഴുള്ള ലിഫ്റ്റുകള്‍ക്കു സമീപം ബഗ്ഗികള്‍ നിര്‍ത്തിയിടും. യാത്രക്കാരെ കംപാര്‍ട്‌മെന്റിനു സമീപം എത്തിക്കുകയും ട്രെയിനില്‍ വന്നിറങ്ങുന്നവരെ ലിഫ്റ്റിനു സമീപം എത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. ഒരു പ്ലാറ്റ്‌ഫോമില്‍ നിന്ന് അടുത്ത പ്ലാറ്റ്‌ഫോമിലെത്താനും സൗകര്യമൊരുക്കും. 2014ല്‍ തിരുവനന്തപുരം റെയില്‍വേ സ്റ്റേഷനിലാണ് ആദ്യമായി ബഗ്ഗി ഓടിത്തുടങ്ങിയത്. എറണാകുളം ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള സ്റ്റേഷനുകളിലും ഇപ്പോള്‍ ബഗ്ഗികളുണ്ട്. കോട്ടയം ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ ഒന്‍പതു സ്റ്റേഷനുകളില്‍ക്കൂടി ഈ സൗകര്യം ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തുകയാണ്.

Indian automotive manufacturing company Tata and Singapore Airline’s (SIA) joint venture company Vistara Airlines has joined, International Air Transport Association (IATA). ബെംഗളൂരുവില്‍ നിന്ന് മലബാര്‍ ഭാഗത്തേക്കുള്ള കേരള ആര്‍ ടി സി ബസുകള്‍ക്ക് മൂന്ന് സ്റ്റോപുകള്‍ കൂടി അനുവദിച്ചു. രാജരാജേശ്വരി നഗര്‍ മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളേജ്, മൈസൂരു റോഡിലെ ക്രൈസ്റ്റ് കോളേജ്, ഐക്കണ്‍ കോളേജ് എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് മുന്നിലാണ് പുതിയ സ്റ്റോപുകള്‍. ബെംഗളൂരുവില്‍ നിന്ന് മൈസൂരു റോഡ് വഴി പോകുന്ന എല്ലാ സ്‌കാനിയ, സൂപ്പര്‍ഫാസ്റ്റ്, ഡീലക്‌സ്, എക്‌സ്പ്രസ് ബസുകളും ഇവിടെ നിര്‍ത്തുമെന്ന് കെ എസ് ആര്‍ ടി സി അറിയിച്ചു. ഈ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്ന മലയാളികളുടെയും വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളുടെയും അഭ്യര്‍ഥന മാനിച്ചാണ് സ്റ്റോപ്പ് അനുവദിച്ചത്. ഈ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ളവര്‍ക്കു കേരള ആര്‍ടിസി ബസ് പിടിക്കാന്‍ ഇതുവരെ സാറ്റ്ലൈറ്റ് ബസ് സ്റ്റാന്‍ഡിലോ, കെങ്കേരിയിലോ എത്തേണ്ടിയിരുന്നു. രാവിലെ ഏഴുമുതല്‍ രാത്രി 11.55 വരെയായി നാല്‍പതിലേറെ കെഎസ്ആര്‍ടിസി ബസുകളാണ് മൈസൂരു വഴി നാട്ടിലേക്കുള്ളത്.

ഐറിഷ് യുവതി ലിഗ കണ്ടല്‍ക്കാട്ടിലെത്താന്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചെന്നു കരുതുന്ന തോണി കണ്ടെത്തി. ഇതില്‍ നിന്നും വിരലടയാള വിദഗ്ദര്‍ തെളിവുകള്‍ ശേഖരിച്ചു. ലിഗയെ ഇവിടേയ്ക്കു കൂടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നവരെന്നു സംശയിക്കുന്ന നാലുപേര്‍ പൊലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിലുണ്ട്. ലിഗ ഇവര്‍ക്കൊപ്പം സഞ്ചരിച്ചുവെന്നു കരുതുന്ന വഴികളും പൊലീസ് പരിശോധിച്ചു. ലിഗയുടെ മരണത്തിനുപിന്നില്‍ പ്രാദേശിക ലഹരിസംഘങ്ങള്‍ക്കു പങ്കുണ്ടെന്നാണു സൂചന. മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയ സ്ഥലം ലഹരിസംഘങ്ങളുടെ താവളമായിരുന്നുവെന്നു പ്രദേശവാസിയായ കടത്തുകാരന്‍ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി. ചൂണ്ടയിടാനെന്ന വ്യാജേനെ ലഹരി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നവരും വില്‍ക്കുന്നവരും കണ്ടല്‍ക്കാടിന്‍റെ പരിസരത്ത് എത്താറുള്ളത്. ലിഗയുടെ മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയതിന്‍റെ തലേന്നും ഇവര്‍ എത്തിയിരുന്നുവെന്നും കടത്തുകാരന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. കൂടാതെ കോവളത്തു നിന്നും ചെന്തലക്കരി ഭാഗത്തേയ്ക്ക് വിദേശികളെ തോണിയില്‍ എത്തിക്കാറുണ്ടെന്നും ഇതിനു പ്രത്യേക എജന്‍റ്  ഉണ്ടെന്നും കടത്തുക്കാരന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

As per the study conducted by ‘Mercer’s Quality of Living Survey 2018’, Vienna capital city of Austria, has been chosen as the most liveable city in the world. “The success of foreign assignments is influenced by issues such as ease of travel and communication, sanitation standards, personal safety, and access to public services,” said Slagin Parakatil, Mercer’s research. The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) is organising the 2nd edition of the Goa Vintage Bike and Car Festival to celebrate the Goa’s rich history of automobiles. The event will display entries from Goa as well as from other parts of the country at the Inox Courtyard – an iconic heritage structure that dates back to the 1800s. With an aim to offer better security for the tourists visiting the state, the Uttar Pradesh tourism department has launched its first 24×7 phone helpline (18601801364). The helpline will assist the tourists in giving information about tourism centers, lodging of complaints, etc. The tourism department hopes that the helpline will come handy if a tourist faces an issue anywhere in the state. There will also be arrangements to record the incoming calls on the helpline and the police, and administration along with other departments have been appointed to redress all the complaints.
