National Advisor Bureau Limited, a United Arab Emirates (UAE) firm, has launched an official website for a project to tow icebergs from Antarctica to the UAE coasts during the first quarter of 2020 “to leverage them as new sources of water in the region”. The National Advisor Bureau Ltd put forward the UAE-Iceberg Project to highlight the upcoming stages and benefits in environment and economy. The project is estimated to cost $50-60 million. പത്മനാഭസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്ര ദര്‍ശനത്തിനെത്തുന്ന ഭിന്നശേഷിക്കാര്‍ക്കും മുതിര്‍ന്ന പൗരന്മാര്‍ക്കും കൂടുതല്‍ സൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍ ഒരുക്കുന്നതുള്‍പ്പെടെ 9.7 കോടി രൂപയുടെ വികസന പദ്ധതികള്‍ക്ക് അനുമതി നല്‍കാന്‍ ധാരണ. ക്ഷേത്രം സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ച കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി അല്‍ഫോണ്‍സ് കണ്ണന്താനത്തിനു ലഭിച്ച നിര്‍ദേശങ്ങള്‍ പരിഗണിച്ചാണു കേന്ദ്ര ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റെ തീരുമാനം. വൈകാതെ ഉത്തരവിറങ്ങും. 92.44 കോടി രൂപ ചെലവില്‍ ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രാലയം നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന ‘സ്വദേശ് ദര്‍ശന്‍’ പദ്ധതിയുടെ തുടര്‍ച്ചയാണിത്. പദ്ധതി പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ശേഷിച്ച തുക കൊണ്ടു പരിസരത്തെ പത്തായപ്പുരയും പാഞ്ചജന്യം കല്യാണമണ്ഡപവും തീര്‍ഥാടകരുടെ വിശ്രമ കേന്ദ്രമാക്കാന്‍ നേരത്തേ ഉത്തരവിറക്കിയിരുന്നു. 7.6 കോടി രൂപയാണ് ഇതിനു ചെലവിടുക. പുറമേയാണ് 9.7 കോടി രൂപയുടെ പുതിയ പദ്ധതികള്‍. വടക്കേനടയില്‍ ഉത്സവമഠത്തിലെ പൈതൃക മന്ദിരത്തില്‍ വിശ്രമകേന്ദ്രം, കൈത്തറി എംപോറിയം, കാത്തിരിപ്പു കേന്ദ്രം എന്നിവ ഒരുക്കാന്‍ 1.75 കോടി രൂപ, വടക്കേനട കെട്ടിട സമുച്ചയത്തില്‍ വിശ്രമകേന്ദ്രവും കഫ്തീരിയയും മാലിന്യ സംസ്‌കരണ കേന്ദ്രവും നിര്‍മിക്കാന്‍ 1.40 കോടി, കിള്ളിപ്പാലം ജംക്ഷനില്‍ തീര്‍ഥാടക സഹായ സമുച്ചയമൊരുക്കാന്‍ 2.25 കോടി, ... Emirates will be operating extra flights to Jeddah and Medina to help facilitate travel for pilgrims heading to and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Hajj. Emirates will be operating 33 additional flights to Jeddah and Medina from 6 to 31 August to support the journey for pilgrims expected to travel to the Holy City of Mecca during Hajj this year. മൈസൂരുവിലെ പ്രധാന വിനോദസഞ്ചാരകേന്ദ്രമായ വൃന്ദാവന്‍ ഗാര്‍ഡന്‍ ഡിസ്നി ലാന്‍ഡ് മാതൃകയില്‍ നവീകരിക്കുമെന്നു ബജറ്റ് പ്രഖ്യാപനം. കെആര്‍എസ് ഡാമിന്റെ നവീകരണത്തിന് അഞ്ച് കോടി അനുവദിച്ചു. വിനോദസഞ്ചാര ഗൈഡുകളുടെ പരിശീലനത്തിനായി ബേലൂര്‍, ഹംപി, വിജയാപുര എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില്‍ പരിശീലന കേന്ദ്രങ്ങള്‍ ആരംഭിക്കും.മറ്റിടങ്ങളില്‍ സ്വകാര്യ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുമായി സഹകരിച്ചു പരിശീലനം നല്‍കും. ടൂറിസം ഡിപ്ലോമ കോഴ്‌സ് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതിനു 20 കോടിരൂപ അനുവദിച്ചു. വിനോദസഞ്ചാരം പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി സര്‍വീസ് അപാര്‍ട്‌മെന്റ് പദ്ധതിക്കു കൂടുതല്‍ പ്രചാരം നല്‍കും.

Sri Lanka has recorded a growth of 15.3 per cent in tourist arrivals during the first half of 2018 compared to the same period last year. According to the statistics from the Tourism Ministry, 1,164,647 tourists arrived in Sri Lanka between January and June. 1,010,444 tourists visited the country during the same period previous year. In June, 146,828 tourists arrived in the island country, registering 19 per cent increase from the arrivals recorded in June 2017. Emirates has announced that it will deploy a one-off A380 service to Islamabad on 8 July 2018. The airline’s iconic double-decker will make its inaugural arrival in Islamabad on a special flight EK2524/EK2525. The A380 flight will depart Dubai on 8 July 2018 at 08 am and arrive in Islamabad at 12.10 pm.
