ഇടുക്കി ജലസംഭരിണിക്ക് കുറുകെയുള്ള അയ്യപ്പന്‍കോവില്‍ തൂക്കുപാലം കാണാന്‍ സഞ്ചാരികളുടെ തിരക്കേറുന്നു. ജില്ലയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ തൂക്കുപാലമാണ് അയ്യപ്പന്‍ കോവിലിലുള്ളത്. 2013ന് ശേഷം ജലനിരപ്പ് ഉയര്‍ന്നത് ഇത്തവണയാണ്. അയ്യപ്പന്‍കോവില്‍, കാഞ്ചിയാര്‍ എന്നീ സ്ഥലങ്ങളെ ഒന്നിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പാലമാണ് ഇത്. ജലനിരപ്പ് ഉയര്‍ന്നതിനാല്‍ തൂക്കുപാലത്തിന്റെ ഭംഗി ആസ്വദിക്കാന്‍ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നാണ് വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികള്‍ എത്തുന്നത്. Pic Courtesy: Paravathy venugopal പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകളുടെ ചരിത്രമുറങ്ങുന്ന ഹൈറേഞ്ചിലെ ആദ്യ കുടിയേറ്റമേഖലയാണ് അയ്യപ്പന്‍കോവില്‍. പെരിയാറിന്റെ തീരത്തായി പുരാതന അയ്യപ്പക്ഷേത്രവുമുണ്ട്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം പൂഞ്ഞാര്‍ രാജവംശമാണ് നിര്‍മിച്ചത്. ആദ്യകാലത്ത് ആദിവാസികളുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലായിരുന്നു പൂജ. നൂറുകണക്കിന് തീര്‍ഥാടകര്‍ ദിവസവും ക്ഷേത്രദര്‍ശനത്തിനായി എത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. സംഭരണിയില്‍ ജലനിരപ്പുയര്‍ന്നതോടെ വള്ളത്തില്‍പോയി മാത്രമേ ക്ഷേത്രദര്‍ശനത്തിന് സാധിക്കൂ. വന്യജീവികളെ അടുത്തുകണ്ട് ജലാശയത്തില്‍ കൂടി വള്ളത്തിലുള്ള യാത്രയും സഞ്ചാരികളുടെ മനംകവരുന്നു. കോവില്‍മല രാജപുരിയിലേക്കും ഇതുവഴിപോകാം. കട്ടപ്പന കുട്ടിക്കാനം റോഡില്‍ മാട്ടുക്കട്ടയില്‍നിന്ന് രണ്ടു കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ യാത്ര ചെയ്താല്‍ അയ്യപ്പന്‍കോവില്‍ തൂക്കുപാലത്തിലെത്താം. കൂടാതെ സ്വരാജില്‍നിന്ന് പരമ്പരാഗത കാട്ടുപാതയിലൂടെയും പോകാം.

യാത്രകള്‍ എന്നും എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കുമൊരു ലഹരിയാണ്. ഏകാന്തമായ യാത്രകള്‍ക്കും സുഹൃത്തുകള്‍ക്കൊപ്പമുള്ള  യാത്രകള്‍ക്കുമൊരുപോലെ പറ്റിയതാണ് തീവണ്ടികള്‍. മഴക്കാലത്ത് കാഴ്ച്ചകള്‍ കണ്ടൊരു തീവണ്ടി യാത്ര പോകാം…. മംഗലാപുരം കൊങ്കണ്‍ പാതയിലൂടെ നടത്തുന്ന യാത്രക്കിടയില്‍ ചിലപ്പോള്‍ ജനല്‍ക്കമ്പികളിലൂടെ ഉറ്റിവീഴുന്ന വെള്ളത്തുള്ളികള്‍, അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ മുഖം നനപ്പിക്കുന്ന ചാറ്റല്‍ മഴയും കാറ്റും. മറ്റു ചിലപ്പോള്‍ എല്ലാം ഇപ്പോള്‍ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന് ഒരുങ്ങി പുറപ്പെട്ടത് പോലെയുള്ള മഴയുടെ രുദ്ര താണ്ഡവം. ഇവയെല്ലാം കാണണമെങ്കില്‍ കൊങ്കണിലൂടെയുള്ള മഴ യാത്ര നടത്തണം. മംഗലാപുരത്തുനിന്ന് റോഹവരെ 740 കിലോമീറ്ററുണ്ട്. കര്‍ണാടക, ഗോവ, മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര എന്നീ മൂന്ന് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലൂടെയാണ് യാത്ര. 91 തുരങ്കങ്ങളും ചെറുതും വലുതുമായ 1858 പാലങ്ങളും കൊങ്കണ്‍ പാതയിലുണ്ട്. 6.5 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ നീളമുള്ള കര്‍ബുദ് തുരങ്കമാണ് ഏറ്റവും നീളം കൂടിയത്. മഴ പെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ ഇരുട്ടിലൂടെ അപ്പുറത്തെ വെളിച്ചത്തിലേക്കെത്തുംവരെയുള്ള യാത്രയ്‌ക്കൊരു കാത്തിരിപ്പിന്റെ രസമുണ്ട്. യാത്രയ്ക്ക് തിരുവനന്തപുരം രാജധാനി എക്‌സ്പ്രസ് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നതാണ് ഉത്തമം. ഈ പാതയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വേഗംകൂടിയ വണ്ടിയാണിത്. തിരിച്ചുവരുമ്പോള്‍ യാത്രയൊന്ന് വ്യത്യസ്തമാക്കാം. വേണമെങ്കില്‍ ഗോവയിലെ ബീച്ചുകളില്‍ ... The holy annual Amarnath Yatra has been suspended on Baltal route due to inclement weather conditions. The route of Amarnath Yatra from Baltal has become slippery and muddy due to continuous rain last night. The yatra on Phalgam route, however, is unaffected and is going on as per schedule. The Mumbai-Goa cruise ferry service, which is set to start after the monsoon, will also have its halts in towns like Ratnagiri, Malvan, Vijaydurg and Raigad. The Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT), the executing authority of the project has already appointed an operator who will run the cruise services. Anjnapura Dam, Shikaripur, Shimoga District, Karnataka The Anjanapura dam garden in the Shikaripur Taluk of Shimoga to become one the favourite tourist attractions of Karnataka in the coming days. The dam was declared a public tourist place only recently.  The State government had sanctioned Rs 6 crore to develop a garden in the vicinity of the dam area. Minister of Tourism for Government of Uttarakhand, Satpal Maharaj has sought support of Central Tourism Ministry to develop new tourism circuits around Buddhist travel and destinations associated with Ramayana and Mahabharata in the state. Satpal Maharaj called on Union Tourism Minister, KJ Alphons in Delhi to seek support for the state and thank him for financial support of Rs 85 crore under Swadesh Darshan and PRASAD which are currently under progress in the state. As per the first six months’ reports of 2018 by the Immigration Department of Nepal, almost one lakh Indians visited the Himalayan Nation, out of the total 5,20,000 foreign tourists. Chinese came second with 71,379 visitors, while US became third 43,816 visitors during the six months. The total number of foreign visitors during this period shows an increase of 13 per cent, when compared to the same period in the previous year.
