As per the report published by Hotels.com in association with Ipsos, a global market research and a consulting firm; India ranks among the top ten popular destinations for Chinese tourists in Asia. The report says around 2 laksh Chinese tourists visited India during 2017. Mumbai and Delhi are the most favourite destinations for Chinese travellers with 69 and 51 per cent Chinese tourist footfalls respectively. പ്രളയക്കെടുതിയില്‍ കഴിയുന്ന കേരളത്തിന് തമിഴ്‌നാടിന്റെ ദാഹജലം. തമിഴ്നാട് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ കേരളത്തിലേക്ക് ഒരു ലക്ഷം ലിറ്റര്‍ കുപ്പിവെള്ളം അയച്ചു. തമിഴ്നാട് സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ കുടിവെള്ള വിതരണ കമ്പനിയായ ‘അമ്മ’ ബ്രാന്‍ഡ് കുപ്പിവെള്ളമാണ് കേരളത്തിലേക്ക് അയച്ചത്. പതിനൊന്ന് ലോറികളാണ് കുപ്പിവെള്ളവുമായി കേരളത്തിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചത്. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ദുരിതാശ്വാസ നിധിയിലേക്ക് പത്ത് കോടി രൂപ സാമ്പത്തിക സഹായം നല്‍കിയതിന് പുറമേ ഭക്ഷ്യ സാധനങ്ങളും മരുന്നുകളുമടക്കം ഒട്ടനവധി അവശ്യ സാധനങ്ങളാണ് തമിഴ്നാട് കേരളത്തിന് നല്‍കിയിട്ടുള്ളത്. അരി, ധാന്യങ്ങള്‍, മരുന്നുകള്‍ എന്നിവയടക്കം നാല് കോടിയോളം വിലമതിക്കുന്ന വസ്തുക്കളാണ് തമിഴ്നാട് കേരളത്തിന് സഹായമായി നല്‍കിയത് എന്ന് തദ്ദേശസ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെയും ദാരിദ്ര്യനിര്‍മാജനത്തിന്റെയും ചുമതല വഹിക്കുന്നു മന്ത്രി എസ്പി വേലുമണി അറിയിച്ചു.

Low-cost carrier SpiceJet is all set to test India’s first biofuel-powered flight on August 27 as it is planning to cut its aviation fuel bill. SpiceJet is planning to operate a turboprop Q-400 from Dehradun to Delhi using this sustainable alternative fuel. If the test passes off successfully, the aircraft — powered by a mix of conventional air turbine fuel and biofuel — will operate a flight to Delhi.
