UDAN 4.1 : More routes proposed with focus on connecting smaller airports

On the commencement of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (India@75)’ launched by Government of India, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has proposed  about 392 routes under UDAN 4.1 bidding process.  The Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)- Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) is a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) envisaged to make air travel affordable and widespread in the country. The scheme intends to boost inclusive national economic growth, employment opportunities, and air transport infrastructure development across the nation. Koothambalam– A Struggle to hold the stage

Koothu is a socio-religious art performed in the Koothambalam or the Koothuthara of temples, either independently or as part of Kutiyattam. UAE announces multiple-entry tourist visas new remote working residency visa

The UAE cabinet has approved a new self-sponsored Remote Work Visa that will enable employees from all over the world to live and work remotely from the UAE, even if their companies are based in another country. The one-year visa allows foreigners to enter the UAE and work in line with terms and conditions issued with the visa. The new scheme aims to support the public and private sector, and also enables employees to expand their digital skills and adapt to the emerging gig economy. Australia announces new tourism support packages

The Government of Australia has announced a new $1.2 billion support package for the tourism and aviation industries. The package includes: Tourism Aviation Network Support (TANS) program, which halves the cost of up to 800,000 airfares (or around 45,000 seats a week) to drive recovery in regions reliant on international tourism. Extending the $50.0 million Business Events Grants program by three months to support the events sector. Extending the $94.6 million Zoos and Aquarium program by six months, so that zoos, aquariums and wildlife parks maintain their animal populations. Archaeologists unearth 2500-year-old bronze bull idol in Greece at ancient Olympia

Greek archaeologists have unearthed by chance a more than 2,500-year-old bronze bull idol at the archaeological site of Olympia, the culture ministry said on Friday. The statuette was found intact, close to the temple of ancient Greek god Zeus at Olympia. An observant archaeologist came across the mini-statue during work at the site, one of the most celebrated sanctuaries in ancient Greece, the ministry said in a statement. Pulling the strings and dancing to the tunes ; Kerala’s ritual art with puppets

Tholppavakkoothu, literally meaning ‘leather puppet play’, is a ritual art performed during the annual festivals in the Kaali temples of Palakkad district. The theme of the play is based on the Kamba Ramayana, narrated in a diction that is a mixture of Malayalam and Tamil dialectical variations. The play covers the whole gamut of events from Lord Sree Rama’s birth to his coronation as the King of Ayodhya.
