മൂന്നാറിലെത്തുന്ന വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്ക് അപൂര്‍വ ഇനം സസ്യങ്ങളുടെ കാഴ്ച ഒരുക്കുന്നതിന് തയ്യാറാക്കിയ ബൊട്ടാണിക്കല്‍ ഗാര്‍ഡന്റെ നിര്‍മാണ ജോലി പുനരാരംഭിച്ചു. മൂന്നാര്‍ ഗവണ്‍മെന്റ് കോളേജിന് സമീപം നിര്‍മാണ ജോലി പൂര്‍ത്തീകരിക്കുന്ന വേളയിലായിരുന്നു പ്രളയം വന്നത്. പ്രളയത്തെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് നിലച്ച് പോയ നിര്‍മാണ ജോലിയാണ് വീണ്ടും പുനരാരംഭിച്ചത്. മഴയില്‍ മലയിടിഞ്ഞ്‌ തകര്‍ന്ന ഭാഗങ്ങളിലെ മണ്ണ് നികത്തുന്ന പണികളാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ പുരോഗമിച്ചോണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്.

ജില്ലാ ടൂറിസം പ്രൊമോഷന്‍ കൗണ്‍സിലിന് കീഴില്‍ വയനാട് ജില്ലയില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന വിനോദസഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില്‍ ഇനി ക്യാമറകള്‍. ജില്ലയില്‍ ഇടയ്ക്കിടെ മാവോവാദി സാന്നിധ്യം അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിലാണിത്. പഞ്ചാരക്കൊല്ലി പ്രിയദര്‍ശിനി എസ്റ്റേറ്റ്, കുറുവ ദ്വീപ്, കര്‍ളാട് തടാകം, കാന്തന്‍പാറ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലാണ് ക്യാമറകള്‍ സ്ഥാപിക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയത്. പൂക്കോട്ട് നേരത്തേതന്നെ ക്യാമറകള്‍ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരുന്നു. പ്രിയദര്‍ശിനിയില്‍ ഒമ്പത് ക്യാമറകള്‍ സ്ഥാപിക്കാനായി 1,83,750 രൂപയും കുറുവയില്‍ 13 ക്യാമറകള്‍ക്കായി 6,12,500 രൂപയും 27 ക്യാമറകള്‍ സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്ന കര്‍ളാടിന് 7,96,250, കാന്തന്‍പാറയില്‍ എട്ട് ക്യാമറകള്‍ക്ക് 4,28,750 രൂപ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ 20,21,250 രൂപയാണ് ഡി.ടി.പി.സി. ചെലവഴിക്കുന്നത്. ജില്ലാ നിര്‍മിതികേന്ദ്രമാണ് ക്യാമറകള്‍ സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നത്. പോലീസിന്റെ നിര്‍ദേശപ്രകാരമാണ് ക്യാമറകള്‍ സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നത്. ഈ മാസം അവസാനത്തോടെ പ്രവൃത്തികള്‍ പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കാനാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. വനമേഖലയോടുചേര്‍ന്ന വിനോദസഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില്‍ മാവോവാദി സാന്നിധ്യം സ്ഥിരമായി ഉണ്ടാകുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന രഹസ്യാന്വേഷണ വിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ കണ്ടെത്തലിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് സുരക്ഷാ സംവിധാനങ്ങള്‍ ശക്തമാക്കാന്‍ ഡി.ടി.പി.സി. തീരുമാനിച്ചത്.
പൂക്കോടും കര്‍ലാടും കൂടുതല്‍ ബോട്ടുകള്‍ വരുന്നു
സന്ദര്‍ശകര്‍ക്ക് ജലാശയ സൗന്ദര്യം നുകരാന്‍ പൂക്കോടും കര്‍ലാടും പുതിയ ബോട്ടുകള്‍ ഇറക്കും. 40 തുഴബോട്ടുകളാണ് പുതുതായി വാങ്ങുന്നത്. ഇതില്‍ 20 എണ്ണത്തില്‍ നാലു വീതം ഇരിപ്പിടങ്ങളുണ്ട്. രണ്ടു വീതം സീറ്റുള്ളതാണ് മറ്റുള്ളവ. പുതിയ ബോട്ടുകള്‍ ഈ മാസം തന്നെ വിനോദസഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലെത്തും. തുഴബോട്ടുകള്‍ക്കു പുറമേ 17 ഫൈബര്‍ കയാക്കിംഗ് ബോട്ടുകളും അഞ്ച് ഫൈബര്‍ ഡിങ്കികളുമാണ് വാങ്ങുക. Pookode Lake പുതിയ ബോട്ടുകള്‍ രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്താനാകും. ജില്ലയിലെ പരിസ്ഥിതി സൗഹൃദ വിനോദസഞ്ചാ-ര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളാണ് പൂക്കോടും കര്‍ലാടുമുള്ള ശുദ്ധജല തടാകങ്ങള്‍. നിലവില്‍ പൂക്കോട് 25 ബോട്ടുകളാണ് ഉള്ളത്. ഇതില്‍ എട്ടെണ്ണം എക്‌സിക്യുട്ടീവ് ബോട്ടുകളാണ്. കര്‍ലാട് ബോട്ടിംഗ് സൗകര്യം ഇപ്പോള്‍ പരിമിതമാണ്. സമുദ്രനിരപ്പില്‍ നിന്നു ഏകദേശം 770 മീറ്റര്‍ ഉയരത്തിലാണ് കേരളത്തില്‍ വിസ്തൃതിയില്‍ രണ്ടാംസ്ഥാനത്തുള്ള പൂക്കോട് തടാകം. വൈത്തിരിക്കു സമീപം ഫിഷറീസ് വകുപ്പിന്റെ കൈവശത്തിലുള്ള തടാകവും പരിസരവും 1990കളിലാണ് വിനോദസഞ്ചാരകേന്ദ്രമായി വികസിപ്പിച്ചത്. നാല് പതിറ്റാണ്ടു മുന്‍പ് 8.5 ഹെക്ടറായിരുന്നു തടാകത്തിന്റെ വിസ്തൃതി. പരമാവധി ആഴം 12 ... Vietnam to host a Formula One race in 2020
In an effort to boost tourism in the country, Vietnam plans to host a Formula One race in 2020 in Hanoi. The race will be 5.565-kilometer street circuit and the event is expected to be in April 2020. It was announced by Vingroup JSC, who signed a multi-year deal to host the Grand Prix.
