ഓട്ടോ ടാക്‌സി നിരക്ക് വര്‍ധനയുണ്ടാകുമെന്ന് ഉറപ്പിച്ച് ഗതാഗത മന്ത്രി എ കെ ശശീന്ദ്രന്‍. നിരക്ക് വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള ശുപാര്‍ശ അടങ്ങിയ ജസ്റ്റിസ് രാമചന്ദ്രന്‍ കമ്മീഷന്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് കിട്ടിയെന്ന് മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാല്‍ ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് താങ്ങാനാവുന്ന വര്‍ധനയേ ഉണ്ടാകു എന്നും മന്ത്രി കോഴിക്കോട് പറഞ്ഞു. ഓട്ടോ ടാക്‌സി മേഖലയില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നവരുടെ നിരന്തര അഭ്യര്‍ത്ഥന മാനിച്ചാണ് ചാര്‍ജ്ജ് വര്‍ധനവിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് പഠിക്കാന്‍ ജസ്റ്റിസ് രാമചന്ദ്രന്‍ കമ്മീഷനോട് ആവശ്യപ്പട്ടത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം കമ്മീഷന്‍ ഇത് സംബന്ധിച്ച റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ഗവണ്‍മെന്റ് സെക്രട്ടറിക്ക് സമര്‍പ്പിച്ചതായി മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. ഓട്ടോ ടാക്‌സി രംഗത്തുള്ളവരുടെ ആവശ്യം സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ അംഗീകരിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് മന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. മന്ത്രി സഭാ തലത്തില്‍ ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്തതിന് ശേഷമാകും നിരക്ക് വര്‍ധന പ്രാബല്യത്തില്‍ വരിക. 2014 ലാണ് കേരളത്തിലെ ഓട്ടോ ടാക്‌സി മേഖലയില്‍ അവസാനമായി ചാര്‍ജ്ജ് വര്‍ധിപ്പിച്ചത്. അതിന് ശേഷം ഇന്ധന വിലയില്‍ 22 മുതല്‍ 28 വരെ രൂപയുടെ വര്‍ധനവുണ്ടായി. ഇത് പൊതു ഗതാഗത മേഖലയെ ഗുരുതരമായ പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലേക്ക് എത്തിച്ചെന്ന് ... Payippadan has become the fastest snake boat (Chundan vallam) and winner in the 66th edition of the Nehru Trophy Boat Race (NTBR), which has taken place at Punnamada lake in Alappuzha today, 10th November 2018. Rwanda showcased its products in China International Import Expo (CIIE) for the first time, as it intensifies efforts to diversify its exports. The country is one the 172 nations participating at the exhibition, which ends today, 10th November 2018. The exhibition attracted more than 3,600 enterprises. Despite some 4.6 million visitor arrivals, Singapore tourism sector recorded a drop in overall spending in the second quarter of the year by 1.7 per cent to USD 6.6 billion, compared with the same period last year. Travellers, be aware that new regulations are issued by the Department of Public Health in Thailand which will force smokers to stay well away from public buildings and public areas. The ban will include people smoking outside café and restaurants. No smoking signs must be posted in accordance with ministry regulations and that the areas surrounding such signs in all directions will be considered off limits to smoking, reads the guidelines.
