The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has released major new guidelines outlining how the global Travel & Tourism sector can work together to tackle illegal wildlife trade (IWT). Approved vaccine inconsistency could delay the restart of international travel
The restart of international travel could be seriously delayed without worldwide reciprocal recognition of all approved COVID-19 vaccines, says the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). Restrictions lifted; Tourism centers opened in Kodagu
Daily test positivity rates have dropped and restrictions in Kodagu have been lifted. The third phase of lockdown exemptions, including the Bangalore City District, came into effect on July 5. Accordingly, places of worship and malls were opened and business activities were allowed until 9 p.m. However, due to high diagnostic rates, the lockdown in Kodagu and Hassan was reduced to a second phase exemption. Kodaikanal’s parks close again due to overcrowding
With the easing of lockdown restrictions, the flow of tourists to Kodaikanal, a major tourist destination in Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, authorities re-imposed restrictions due to congestion. Permission to visit here was granted since Monday. The government had given permission to tourists to visit Bryant Park, Chettiar Park, and Rose Park under the Department of Horticulture.
