Uzbekistan to introduce attractive incentive scheme for film tourism in 2020
With an aim to encourage more Indian film productions to shoot in its scenic and historic locations, the Central Asian Republic of Uzbekistan is planning to roll out an attractive incentive scheme next year. “There will be 20 per cent capital subsidy available for film production units interested to shoot films in Uzbekistan from 2020. Twenty per cent of the expenses incurred for film production in Uzbekistan will be reimbursed by the Uzbek government to make it an attractive proposition for film production companies,” said Temurbek, Representative of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan. AirAsia India launches flights to Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati & Imphal from Agartala
AirAsia India has launched flight services to Imphal, Guwahati, Kolkata and Delhi from Agartala, the capital of Tripura. Biplab Kumar Deb, Chief Minister, Tripura flagged off the first AirAsia India flight to Kolkata from the Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport. Sanjay Kumar, COO, AirAsia India informed that 14 flight per week would be operated from the Maharaj Bir Bikram Airport on the Agartala-Kolkata, Agartala-Delhi, Agartala-Guwahati and Agartala-Imphal routes. “We also have plans to extend our service for connecting Agartala with Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai. Maldives goes on Guiness World Record for the most people freediving simultaneously, with 520 participants on Tuesday, 1 October 2019.
