‘Astonishing Australia’ – 10 Day tour package by IRCTC
IRCTC Tourism came up with a nine-night and ten-day trip from Mumbai to Australia and back, starting October 21. The program covers two nights in Melbourne, two in Sydney and three nights in Gold Coast. The package named as ‘Astonishing Australia’, includes all the costs like meals, hotel stays, air-fare, among other things. 2,500-year-old Egyptian mummy found at Sydney university
It is recently found that a coffin at the University of Sydney’s Nicholson Museum, which was thought to be empty all these years had a 2,500-year-old Egyptian mummy inside it. New plan to aid Queensland in managing climate change
Griffith University has taken up a key role in moulding the future Queensland Tourism by helping in the development of a new Climate Change Adaptation Plan. Australia terminates 457 Visa Programme used largely by Indians
Australia has terminated its employer-sponsored 457 visa programme, which is highly used by Indians. The authorities further replaced it with a new stringent programme that requires higher English-language proficiency and job skills. The visa programme 457 allowed companies to hire foreign workers for up to four years in skilled jobs in which there was a shortage of Australian workers. Most of the category visa holders come from India, with about a quarter of the hiring, followed by the United Kingdom and China respectively to 19.5 per cent and 5.8 per cent.
