Year 2018 witnessed around 65.2 million tourist arrivals in New York. It was acknowledged by the New York Tourism Board, stating that British people topped the list of foreign visitors. According to statistics, around 51.6 million domestic and 13.5 million foreign tourists visited the city last year, almost 3 per cent more than that of overseas visitors in 2017. Richard Branson’s space-tourism venture, Virgin Galactic LLC, reached the edge of space in a test flight Thursday, four years after a fatal accident set back the project, in a feat expected to accelerate commercial efforts to send tourists and small satellites aloft using low-cost rockets. Airbnb has collected USD 1 billion in hotel and tourism tax (TOT) globally to date. The home-sharing company has established partnerships with more than 400 governments around the world to collect and remit taxes. United Airlines has submitted a formal application to the U S Department of Transportation (DOT) for authority to increase service between New York/Newark Liberty and Shanghai Pudong beginning in June 2020. Kaieteur Falls, which is considered the widest single drop waterfall in the world, is on the Potaro River in central Essequibo Territory of Guyana. It is located in Kaieteur National Park.
