The ‘B2B’ meet of leading tour operators in the country has been launched in Kovalam to promote tourism centers in Kerala
Leading tour operators of the country gathered in Kovalam on Friday to prepare useful packages to promote major tourism destinations in the state and to strengthen cooperation with tourism partners. The three-day campaign is jointly organized by the South Kerala Hoteliers Forum (SKHF) and the Kochi-based Tourism Professionals Club (TPC) with the support of Kerala Tourism.
This includes Destination Promotion, B2B Meet, and visits to major tourist attractions in Kovalam, Poovar, and Varkala. The B2B Meet of Kerala Tour Operators with Industrial Partners was held on January 7 at 4 pm at the KTDC Samudra Resort, Kovalam.
More than 120 travel agents and tour operators from major tourism markets in Gujarat, Delhi, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu will meet with tourism partners, including hotel representatives, to come up with mutually beneficial strategies and packages that will greatly boost tourism in the state. It is a good sign that the leading tour operators have shown interest in the tourism industry in Kerala, which has overcome the covid crisis, Muhammad Riyaz said.
This campaign will give a new impetus to the state tourism sector, which has been revived after covid, Tourism Director VR. Krishna Teja said. Also, Manoj Babu, General Secretary of the South Kerala Hoteliers’ Forum, said that the campaign was aimed at promoting tourism in South Kerala and would soon introduce innovative travel schemes that would inspire more tourists.
The Travel Agent Association of Coimbatore, the Tour Operators Association of Telangana, and the Enterprising Travel Agent’s Association, (ETAA) are the major tour operators that are part of the program.
