Tourist centers will be opened after vaccination
Those who work directly or indirectly in connection with tourist destinations will be vaccinated and opened as safe-havens. As a first step, Vaccination in Vaithiri and Meppadi in Wayanad district will be completed and opened to tourists within seven days. Mohammad Riyaz and Veena George said in a press conference.

About 15 lakh people are working in the tourism sector in the state. The loss was Rs 34,000 crore last year. In 2019, it had a revenue of Rs 45,000 crore. Minister Riyaz also asked the local bodies to suggest areas that could be developed as tourist destinations.
Minister Veena George has directed that slots be allowed for 15 days on the website to book the covid vaccine. Slots will be open depending on the availability of the vaccine. Collectors will be directed to bring a unified time for registration. Minister said the health department was trying to vaccinate at least 2.5 lakh people every day.
