Bahrain ready to welcome tourists
After a gap of more than a year, the tourist sector in Bahrain is ready to welcome tourists from Saudi Arabia. Tourist arrivals are a wake-up call for the tourism sector, which has been hit hard by the covid epidemic.
Saudi Arabia’s international borders will open on May 17, according to the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority. Steps have also been taken to fully comply with the covid-19 precautions. Preparations are being made with an emphasis on family tourism. Bahrain is a popular holiday destination for families from GCC countries. Many of Bahrain’s tourist attractions attract tourists.
Covid tests and quarantine were waived for those who were vaccinated or cured from these places. They can also enjoy various indoor services. Bahrain is mainly targeting Saudi travelers coming through the King Fahd Causeway. The authority has launched a campaign on social media targeting Saudi travelers. From May 17 to 23, the control tower on the Causeway and the main buildings on various streets will be decorated in red and green to welcome visitors. Campaign billboards will also be set up at various places.
The Authority also appreciated the preparations made by hotels, restaurants, cafes, and entertainment venues to receive tourists in compliance with the Kovid Protocol. Nasser Ali Qaidi said. He said the authority was ready to provide better services.
