Air India to resume London-Mumbai flights
Air India to resume London-Mumbai flights In view of the covid-19 situation, Air India has announced that it will operate flights from London Heathrow Airport to Mumbai from May 17 to May 31. Air India has said that passengers should strictly abide by the covid directives and regulations.
Air India had earlier canceled all flights to London from April 24 to 30 following a UK government decision to put India on the Red List in view of the covid-19 situation.
“Air India will operate flights from London Heathrow to Mumbai from May 17 to May 31 (excluding May 18, 23, 25, and 30). Those who have already booked on these dates and those who are traveling need to double-check their booking, ”Air India said in a Twitter post.

Booking can be done through the Air India website, mobile app, booking offices, call center, and authorized travel agents. Before deciding to travel, one should visit the website http://www.airindia.in/United-Kingdoms.htm and read the guidelines recently announced by the UK Government. It will be the responsibility of the passengers to ensure their eligibility to enter India. Air India will not be liable in this regard.
Air India had earlier canceled all flights to London from April 24 to 30 following the UK’s blacklist of India in view of the second wave of covid-19 in India. However, citizens of the UK and Ireland and permanent residents of the UK can enter the country.
Not only the UK, but also the US, Australia, Hong Kong, Pakistan, and New Zealand have put India on the red list and imposed travel bans and restrictions.
