Covid: The country’s historical monuments will be closed till May 15

Historical monuments under the Central Archaeological Department will be closed till May 15 due to the outbreak of the covid virus in the country. The closure applies to monuments, museums, and sites under the ASI. The order was issued by the Central Department of Culture.

All monuments and sites maintained by the Central Archaeological Department were closed last year due to the corona virus outbreak. The daily number of covid-19 cases in India has doubled in ten days. 2 lakh new cases have been registered.
