Hot springs in cold places! Wonder of nature
Natural hot springs are found in very few places in our country. Most of them are in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. These hot springs are said to have many healing and rejuvenating properties.
Manikaran is one of the most famous hot springs in India, located near the Parvati Valley in Himachal Pradesh. It is located at an elevation of 1760 m above sea level, close to Kullu and Manali.
The hot springs at Manikaran fall from a height of 11 feet to 14 feet. No matter how cold the weather is, the water from the spring here is hot. The water in the spring here ranges from 60 degrees to 80 degrees. There is a certain amount of temperature in each of the springs here. The water here does not contain sulfur as compared to other places. It is believed that one can come here and go down to this hot spring to cure arthritis-related ailments. You can also see people taking water from here and using it for cooking.
Yumthang Hot Spring is one of the major tourist attractions in Sikkim. Yumthang is located near Lachan, which is rich in sulfur. There are several hot springs around Yumthang. You can see all this in a single round trip. The Yumesamdong hot spring is one of them.
Bakreshwar in West Bengal is best known for its hot springs. The hot spring in the village also contains sodium, potassium, sulfate, and calcium. It is believed that bathing in the water enhances the healing properties of humans. Therefore, you can choose a trip here to refresh your mind, body, and soul.
Khir Ganga in Himachal Pradesh is one of the fascinating destinations on the map of the tourist of Himachal Pradesh. This place is known as the best place to revive the body and mind. Famous for trekking, this place is surrounded by lofty trees and mountains. Admission is open from March to October.

There is also a hot spring at Reshi on the banks of the river Rangeet. Located at a distance of 25 km from Gyalshing, Reshi is a resting place on the trekking route. However, more locals visit the spring than tourists.
Sahasradhara, which means a thousand fountains, is located near Dehradun in Uttarakhand. It is located near the famous Robbers Cave. The hot water of this river is considered to have medicinal properties as it contains sulfur. It is located at a distance of 11 km from Dehradun.
Tapovan is located at a distance of 14 km from Joshimath. Tourists can reach this place on their way to Kuari Pass and Chitrakanta. Tapovan Gangotri Glacier is considered to be one of the hidden hot springs of India.
Gaurikund is one of the important pilgrimage centers of Kedarnath. Gaurikund, located at an altitude of 2000 m above sea level, is an adventure destination as well as a natural hot spring. Although much of the area has been destroyed by the recent earthquake, a river can still be seen flowing along with the remnants of the spring. Another hot spring is located near the Yamunotri Temple in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, which is home to several hot springs in India.
