CKTI asks Kerala Government to change the quarantine norms for Tourism Revival
CKTI has recommended the government to review the current guidelines and have requested free entry for all tourists from other states. The Confederation has cited examples of states like Tamil Nadu, Goa, Karnataka, and Rajasthan which after removing quarantine requirements have started receiving domestic tourists.
The letter says “Many domestic clients and patients from other states are ready to come to Kerala for Ayurvedic treatment and wellness programs. If the quarantine rules are lifted, this will help the wellness sector to get long staying guests”
CKTI has also demanded the government to grant permission to reopen swimming pools, spas, and health centers in resorts observing all Covid-19 protocols.
Considering the fact that the state government has already permitted bars to open and to allow pilgrims to the Sabarimala Temple, the confederation has specifically asked for a review of the quarantine policy.
E M Najeeb President, CKTI signed the letter mentioned that “Tourists from other states should be allowed free entry, after registering in the Jagratha Portal”
