Thailand Tourism promotes Thai mobile kitchens at ‘All Good Food Truck’ event
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is highlighting an ‘All Good Food Truck’ event, with food trucks from all around Thailand gathering from 17 to 19 December 2020, at the IMPACT Lakeside Muang Thong Thani in Greater Bangkok.
The All Good Food Truck happening aims to help food and beverage entrepreneurs glean knowledge from Thai celebrity chefs. That way they can further develop menus to add value to restaurants and food truck businesses while also promoting the positive image of Thai cuisine.
Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business, said, “This event promotes traditional Thai food from each region that has been passed down from generation to generation, both in terms of taste, decoration and nutritional value. It will help stimulate domestic tourism and encourage entrepreneurs to return home and create continuous economic benefits for local households and communities.”
Food trucks or mobile kitchens have grown in popularity around Thailand in recent years. The growth reflects the lifestyle of the new generation that looks to buy food on the go from a diverse selection of mobile food sellers set up at cultural events and music festivals.
Thai celebrity chefs have helped fuel this trend and will be out in force at the ‘All Good Food Truck’ event. Top culinary talent includes Chef Boss Pattanapong Wongsuwan, Chef Om Thanabod Poolcharoen, Chef Park Patawit Chanthai, Chef Golf Paisit Chankot and Chef Sun Thanawat Itakura.
An ‘All Good Food Truck’ new normal concert will keep participants entertained and feature Paradox on 17 December, Slot Machine on 18 December, and KORD YIM on 19 December. Five main photo spots around the IMPACT Lakeside will be spectacularly decorated with light and sound for social media selfie lovers.
More than 250 mobile outlets, serving cuisine from all five regions of Thailand, will also offer cooking shows and demonstrations featuring indigenous ingredients from each region. Cooking demonstrations will be live streamed on the All Good Food Truck‘s Facebook page.
