First Drive-In Cinema in Kerala gets into action at Le Meridien Kochi

Sunset Cinema Club in association with MFAR Hotels & Resorts, owning company of Le Meridien, Kochi launches the first Drive-In Cinema in Kerala Sunset Cinema Club, India’s biggest outdoor cinema experience company, started in 2017, operational in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chandigarh, and Bangalore, now comes to Kochi with a premium Drive-In Cinema Experience. City— KOCHI Sunset Cinema Club and Le, Meridien, announced their Opening Weekend and the official launch of SCC Drive-In at Le Meridien, Kochi on the 21st November. SCC Drive-In is to have regularly programmed film screenings, every weekend in the drive-in format. SCC Drive-In will run, every Friday to Sunday, One show per day, Entry starts at 7:00 PM the film begins at 7:30 PM. Films will run from 7: 30 PM to 10: 30 PM, (with an intermission), accommodating up to 60 cars. Gourmet food and beverages will be catered by Le Meridien, Kochi and will be available to the audience to purchase, with top of the line hygiene and safety protocols of Marriott implemented.

Outside food and beverage will not be permitted for consumption within the premises. The tickets can be booked online and are priced at Rs. 1000/- Per Car, permitting the entry of 1 to 4 people per car. The audience will get to the drive-in to designated parking slots in front of a 32 ft screen on an elevated structure, with audio streamed directly to their cars. “With the launch of the city’s first Drive-In Cinema Experience, we are providing a completely safe and 100% contactless outdoor movie experience to the people in Kochi,” Sahil Kapoor and Sanchit Gupta, Co-founders at Sunset Cinema Club. The content will be a balanced mix of Bollywood, Hollywood as well as regional Malayalam content. The Opening Weekend of SCC Drive-In at Le Meridien, Kochi began with a fan-favorite Malayalam film, ‘Bangalore Days’. The upcoming weekends are scheduled in advance and are listed on Sunset Cinema Club’s website (www.sunsetcinemaclub.in) Tickets can be booked online on their portal.
