New policy to boost heritage tourism in Mysuru

Heritage Tourism in Mysuru is gearing up for a major boost as the state government is planning to announce the new tourism policy in the next two months. Around 140 monuments have already been identified in Mysuru.

“Task force led by Infosys Foundation Chairperson, Sudha Murty, has already held three meetings in this regard and consultation has been sought by stakeholders in 15 districts. The new policy is expected to be announced in January 2020,” said CT Ravi, Tourism Minister.

The state government is planning district specific policies keeping in mind the unique feature of a particular district or region.
