Da Nang Tourism organizes Da Nang Tourism Roadshow
Da Nang Department for Tourism organized Da Nang Tourism Roadshow at Fullon Kaohsiung Hotel, Kaohsiung – Taiwan to promote tourism products and services in Da Nang, connecting tourism firms in Kaohsiung and Da Nang as well as fostering the launch of the direct flight Kaohsiung – Da Nang operated by Jetstar Pacific Airlines in August 2019 as expected.
The roadshow welcomes the attendance of Nguyen Anh Dung – Chairman of Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, Kaohsiung Department of Tourism, Kaohsiung Tourism Association and more than 50 representatives of tourism businesses in Kaohsiung. The lead of Da Nang group is Truong Thi Hong Hanh – Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism, and the representatives of Da Nang Center for Tourism Promotion, Da Nang Tourism Association, together with tour operators, hotels in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province.
“Da Nang Tourism Roadshow in Kaohsiung, Taiwan is organized in the effort to greet and create networking with tourism firms in Kaohsiung and Da Nang. We believe the Central Coast Vietnam will offer various options for the tour operators. Not only a leisure destination, Da Nang is also a great travel spot of events and festivals at regional scale,” stated Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism.
Taiwan is regarded as one of the main tourism source markets to Da Nang tourism. It is always in Top 10 international markets of Da Nang. In 2018, there are over 36,400 Taiwanese tourists in Da Nang, increasing 30 per cent compared to 2017. Just within the first quarter of 2019, Da Nang has welcomed over 14,219 Taiwanese tourists. To keep in pace with such the trend, Jetstar Pacific Airlines has launched the plan to operate the new route Kaohsiung – Da Nang with 3 flights/week, starting from 10th August 2019. Previously, the airline has run the flight Taipei – Da Nang since 12/2016 with 5 flights/week.
Da Nang is the famous destination of Vietnam and in the world. It is also the large base of Jetstar Pacific, following by Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City. This roadshow shapes the great chance to boost tourism promotion of Da Nang as well as raising tourist number from Taiwan to Da Nang.
