Kollam to be in the world cruise tourism map

An expert team from abroad has arrived at Kollam Port on Friday to study the possibility of placing Kollam in the world cruise tourism map.

The team of 11 people arrived in Kollam in a luxury ship named MY Bravado. They will visit several tourist destinations in the district during the next 10 days to conduct the feasibility study.

The team will visit the popular tourist destinations in Kollam, such as Jatayudapara, Ashtamudi kayal, Manrothuruthu and Thenmala Eco tourism Center.

Cruise tourism is considered to be one of the most promising tourism sectors in the coming years. If the committee gives a favorable report after the visit, it will be a boost to the tourism sector of Kollam. Currently Kochi is the favourite place for cruise tourism in Kerala.
