International Yog Festival 2019 to be held at Rishikesh

International Yog Festival to be held at Rishikesh in Uttarakhand from 1-7 March  2019. IYF-2019 or the International Yog Festival 2019 is all set to be one of the largest yoga events ever organized and is a must see for all yoga enthusiasts. International Yog Festival 2019 will be held at Ganga Resort, Muni Ki Reti (Rishikesh), Uttarakhand.

Organized jointly by the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) and Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB), the event aims to create such a platform where all traditional and modern styles of yoga can come together and learn from each other.

The event will feature a Symposium on Yoga, Bhakti Fest, Demonstration and Open Challenge, Talk to Teachers, Theme-based classes and therapies.

Through IYF, the organizers are planning to promote not just asanas but all the limbs and types of yoga and also encourage yogis to dig deep and bring forth the forgotten secrets of yoga for the benefit of one and all. The organizers also aim to set the benchmarks, with the help of the experts, to maintain the authenticity of yoga.

“The vision is that Uttrakhand, the land of yogis, not only maintain its image but enhance it further by giving birth to many more yogis who could manifest the power of yoga, as stated in ancient yoga texts, before everyone, for them to believe and take inspiration. We wish to see that yoga becomes part of every person’s life and enrich it with health, happiness and harmony,” said the organizers.
