Bangkok voted Best City International by Travel + Leisure India
Bangkok is awarded “Best City – International Category” by Travel + Leisure India’s Best Awards 2018. Travel + Leisure India & South Asia announced the results of its seventh edition of the India’s Best Awards at the ITC Maurya, New Delhi on 12th November, 2018.
Bangkok has won top honour as Best City – International category at the ceremony. In 2017 Thailand has received the Best Honeymoon Destination (International) and 2011,2014, 2015 and 2016 Thailand has received the best wedding destination and 2011 and 2015 as the best country awards from Travel + Leisure. The polling was conducted as a reader’s choice both through the magazine and online in 2018 over a period of 3 months.
“Thailand’s blissful and spectacular beaches, tropical climate, misty mountains, diverse & fascinating culture, hospitable people, exotic cuisine and world class luxury hotels & resorts attract the visitors and keep bringing them back, so much that it features among the most popular tourist destinations in South East Asia. Bangkok truly deserves the award for best city,” said Isra Stapanaseth, Director TAT New Delhi office.
This year Amazing Thailand hosted the 10th IIFA Awards in Bangkok welcoming all Bollywood stars. And not only for Indians, Bangkok being named this year’s number one city in the world by the Mastercard’s 2018 Global Destination Cities Index, making it the third consecutive year that Thailand’s ‘City of Angels’ has been ranked in the top spot.
