Kashmir Tourism organizes bike rally to promote adventure tourism
A group of 48 bikers, including 3 female bikers, from across the country set off on a motorcycle rally to Bhadarwah Valley, via famous Chattar Galla pass in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday with a mission to promote adventure tourism and sports in Chenab valley.
Zaheer Ud Din Naik, tourism officer from TRC Dandi has flagged of the rally on Wednesday, 31st October 2018. The event was sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir tourism department.
After passing through markets of the town and rural areas, the bikers have headed towards Kishtwar via Doda, from where the bikers will enter sapphire Valley Padder via Gulab Garh on Thursday.
“These bikers drawn from different parts of the country will help promoting the untapped and unexplored adventure tourism potential of Chenab region especially that of Bhadarwah, Doda and Kishtwar,” said Zaheer Ud Din Naik.
“JK tourism department is trying to make Bhadarwah, as hub of adventure tourism,” added Naik.
“This will go a long way to build a positive image of our state and will surely attract maximum tourists especially adventure enthusiasts as this part of the state is a safe haven for them,” said Parul Jasrotia, a 25 years old biker from Travel Days India Club.
“This is the best ever ride of my life. The tourism department have given us this wonderful opportunity to explore Bhadarwah valley which so beautiful that one should visit here at least once in his life,” said Preeti Choudhary, member of Bikers Brotherhood Motorcycle Club.
The bike rally, led by Sachin Singh Sambyal, CEO JK adventure, started from Jammu and after passing through Bani, Basholi and Sarthal, Sinthan Top of District Kishtwar and the rally will finally culminate at Patnitop on 2nd November.
Bhadarwah town with its picturesque surroundings, high altitude meadows and snow filled glaciers have of late become a major tourist attraction.
Sajid Khan, publicity officer, Bhadarwah Development Authority (BDA), Amar Pal Singh and Rakesh Koul from adventure wing of JK Tourism also were present during the flagging off ceremony.
