Showcase Munnar conducts bike rally to promote tourism in Munnar

As part of Neelakurinji campaign, Showcase Munnar Association organized a Super Bike Rally on 22nd September in continuation of Rally to the Blue Mountain. There were 20 Harley Davidson and other super bikes participated in the rally.

Rally was flagged off at Ernakulam Boat Jetty in the morning by K P Nandakumar, Joint Director, Kerala Tourism;  K S Shine and G Kamalamma, Deputy Directors of Kerala Tourism; Rajesh Nair, CGM, Eastend Group were present in the function.

Showcase Munnar Team and DTPC (District Tourism Promotion Council), Idukki welcomed the rally near DTPC Office. After taking a Ride in Munnar, Nallathanni and Devikulam Rally ended at Clouds Valley Hotel.

“The objective of the rally was to create awareness amongst the tourists that Munnar is safe and ready to receive all tourists and Neelakurinji has bloomed in Munnar after 12 years. It also exhorts the people to conserve Neelakurinji for the next generation,” said V Vinod, Rally Organizing Committee.

All the participating bike riders said that the event was a great success and they could convey the messages, especially to the Bike Riding Clubs and more riding clubs have expressed interest in joining hands with Showcase Munnar to spread the message.

Showcase Munnar is n initiative of like minded hoteliers in and around Munnar town to market and promote Tourism activities in Munnar and in their hotels collectively, which started its operations during the year 2015.
