Jatayu Earth’s Centre opens for tourists from today
Jatayu Earth Centre will be open to public from today onwards, said a press statement issued by the authorities. The ticket charge per person is Rs. 400. The tickets are being booked through the website www.jatayuearthscenter.com. “There is a great response to online ticket booking,” said the statement.
The entry to the Earth Centre is only through online booking so as to restrict the crowd. On the ‘Uthradam’ day (first day of Onam), the JEC is dedicating the World’s largest bird sculpture as well as the Swiss made hi-tech cable car to the people.
The inauguration which was scheduled on August 17 by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was postponed due to flood disaster in Kerala. Film Director Rajiv Anchal’s dream project came to reality after ten years of his relentless toil.
The park situated at a whopping 65 acres of land holds the distinction of having the world’s first functional sculpture. It is also India’s first fully fenced park with all safety measures ensured for visitors. The State Government spent Rs 1.75 crore for setting up ABC line required for the project implementation. The government also spent Rs 8.5 crore to build the world-class road leading to Jatayu Nature Park.
